Black vertical lines on faxes sent using auto document feeder

If you lift up the lid on your scanning device you will notice a glass strip about 1 inch thick and then the large area of glass used for flatbed scanning. The 1 inch strip is used for ADF scanning. Because your papper is moving across the glass strip, any dot, smudge or scratch will affect your scanning and cause verticial lines down the page. Sometimes the dot is not visible to the eye. Get some glass cleaner that has alcohol in it and thoroughly clean the glass strip and it should solve your problem. If it turns out to be a scratch on the glass then cleaning won't help.

When I insert a SDHC memory card in printer,I get

Your printer was designed to use SD cards with a maximum 2GB capacity. It was not designed to be compatible with SDHC cards and cannot read them.

SDHC cards are a later development and will fit into the same slots, but are technically different. As the difference is due to hardware incompatibility, there is no way to update your printer to accept the later standard.

How do i know if

It seems odd but there does not seem to be an obvious way other than if you get an error light. You might try downloading the HP Director if you do not already have it. Perhaps it has the capabilty within to give you an indication of ink levels.

How do you get the paper inside that thing?

  1. Open the document that you were trying to print when the issue occurred.
  2. Click File , and then click Print . The Print dialog box opens.
  3. Click the button that opens the Properties dialog box. Depending on the software program, the button might be Properties , Options , Printer Setup , Printer , or Preferences .
  4. Click the tab that provides paper type and size settings. The tab might be Features or Paper/Quality .
  5. From the Size is drop-down menu, select the paper size that matches the paper in the tray.
  6. From the Type is drop-down menu, select the paper type that matches the paper in the tray.
  7. Click OK , and then click OK again to print the document.
NOTE: If the issue is resolved, and you want to print on another type of paper, load the new paper type, and then repeat the previous steps for the new paper.
  • If these steps resolved the issue , you do not need to continue troubleshooting.
  • If the issue persists , continue to the next solution.
Solution four: Clean the paper rollers Follow these steps to clean the paper rollers.
  1. Press the Power button to turn off the product.
  2. Disconnect the power cord from the rear of the product.
  3. Remove the rear access door. Different models have different rear access doors. Some have one release tab, some have two release tabs, some have a knob to turn, and some have in-tray catches. Some also have automatic two-sided printing accessories (duplexers). Release the rear access door or duplexer as necessary, and then remove it to access the paper rollers for cleaning. 4. Wipe each paper roller with a lint-free cloth lightly moistened with distilled or bottled water. Rotate the rollers upward carefully to clean all the way around. Figure 1: Paper rollers
  5. Allow the rollers to dry completely, and then replace the rear access door or duplexer. Slide the rear access door or duplexer into place, and then gently push it in until it clicks or snaps into place.
  6. Reconnect the power cord to the rear of the product.
  7. Try printing again.
  • If these steps resolved the issue , you do not need to continue troubleshooting.
  • If the issue persists , continue to the next solution.

Why does my 375 printer cradle get stuck a lot

The belt that moves the "cradle" may be broken, or a small object may of dropped down inside your printer. Have your printer looked over by a certified technician or see if you can find a paper clip or whatever may be caught inside your printer.
