After a recent thunderstorm my

Hi zt945754,

The error message "scanner failure" occurs when the scanner bulb is not heating to the correct temperature or there is some problem with the scanner hardware. Please perform the following steps to resolve the problem.

1. Verify that the scanner bulb is lit. If the scanner bulb will not light up, the All-in-One must be serviced.

2. Unplug the power cord and then plug it in again. If the error comes back, remove the power cord from any power strip and plug it directly into a wall power outlet. The power strip may not be supplying enough power to the product.

3. Perform a partial reset
There are times when a partial reset may be required to restore the all-in-one to proper operation. A partial reset does the following:
--> Reset the user settings to the factory defaults.
--> Reset the language and country/region settings on some models.

NOTE: The HP Officejet 500 or 600 series must be connected to a computer running the all-in-one software to perform a partial reset. Do not perform this process if the unit cannot be connected to a computer.

Follow the steps below to perform a partial reset of the all-in-one:

1. Unplug the power cord from the all-in-one.

2. In the table here, locate the button combination for your model.

NOTE: If your all-in-one model is not listed in the table, your model does not have a partial reset option.

3. Press and hold the button combination for your all-in-one.

4. While still holding the buttons down, plug the power cord back in. Release the buttons after the all-in-one starts up.

5. Try to make a copy and/or a scan.

If these steps cannot correct the problem, the All-in-One will needs to be serviced.

Hope it helps.

Thank you for using FixYa.

How can I clean my 7310. When it prints it almost

If you put something in the interlock switch so that it thinks the cover is closed and power up, watch for the cleaning assembly to move to the front, there are 3 or 4 rubber squeegees that wipe the cartridges after cleaning. Unplug the printer while they are out and clean them with a damp Q-tip, just water damp, as the inks are water soluble.

Won't run scanner error message

Cherokee, You must first disconnect the device. Then uninstall the drivers. Reboot the computer. Reinstall the drivers. Reconnect the device and allow Windows sufficient time to auto detect and load up the drivers. Then only will the scanner work properly.

Paper jammed while trying to

turn it off slowly work the paper out by pulling it slowly from the direction you fed it or by whatever direction you find it will come out the easiest. If it tears you be patient and work out pieces you aren't the first person that ever jammed paper in a fax just take patience to get it all out.

5610 printer printer cartridge contact

If the contact foil is not completely torn apart, I will try to reinstall the cartridge. The contact foil should not be that easy to tear. You should also try to return and exchange it for another cartridge.
