How do you restart printer

Do you mean - how do I restart printing a document that is in the print queue? Or do you want to know how to restart the printer as in turn it off and back on again? If you have a document that has not printed and you want to restart printing it, click on the arrow on the bottom right side of your screen near your clock and find the picture of the printer (icon). Right click with your mouse on top of the picture of the printer and open the print queue. Find the document you want to print and click on it and choose restart. You can also delete the documents in the queue and just try printing them all over again to solve the issue.

Hp7310 printer makes static noises.

Hello.

Some suggestions:

If you have a wireless that router is close to your printer, the router could be causing the noise. Change the router frequency to reduce interference:

  • Open a web browser and type the IP address of the router into the navigation bar. For most routers, the IP address is 192.168.1.1.
  • Enter your username and password into the prompt. This is the administration password to access the router's console.
  • Click the "Wireless" tab. Select "Basic Wireless Settings." This opens a window with a "Channel" section. This section is where frequency settings are changed.
  • Select channel 11. These channels provide the clearest signal since they do not overlap other channels. Click the "Save" button and close the browser window.
  • Reboot the wireless computers. A change in frequency drops wireless devices from the network. The computers need to be rebooted to find new network settings.

  • An alternative is to cut the wires to your printer's speaker, which are on the left side of the printer compartment. Lift the lid and look at the area where you normally change the ink cartridges. They are the red and black wires.

    Hope this helps.

    The printer cartridge is stuck

The carriage is kept there by the pads housing (a small flat plastic box) - it's supposed to descent after the heads have been cleaned and in your case it doesn't and it jams the carriage in place.
Press the carriage slightly to the left then with a fine tool press the housing down then slide, gently, the carriage to the right until it passes over the housing. Once the carriage is clear move it to the opposite side and find out why the housing hasn't moved down - usually its mechanism has been seized by dried ink so clean it in water. If you don't wanna bother extracting the housing from the printer you can clean it in place by pouring water from the tap over it, but you will have to wait at least a day for the insides of the printer to fully dry.

    I have a paper jam

the top feeder is easy to dissassemble.

    1) lift the grey cover - just pull gently
    2) if you do not see the paper jam, lift up the two edges of the fin and slide the fin out. and your paper should be there.replacement is reverse of removal. (it has groves at both ends where it fits so slide in and push down gently to fit)
by this time you should see your paper. of not, turn the cover open and manually roll the gear tooth of the upper drum with your thumb (you will find that inside the cover of the scanner on the left side
if paper does not come out throw away the printer!!!
