Panasonic KV S2026C Path-Through Scanner Questions & Answers
Auto crop and Deskew ?!!
everytime i try to scan
I know this is very old and you have probable answered your own question, but in case anyone else finds this...Search google for panasonic reference area/roller, they are two rollers inside your scanner, if they are set to white Deskew and Autocrop amongst others will be disabled, if its set to Black they become available, I spent two days trying to sort this.
My panasonic kv-s2026c has a black line running
On the CD that came with the scanner is a directory called "Shading Utility". Copy this folder to your PC. Put a blank piece of copy paper into your scanner. Open up the Shading Utility folder and then double-click on the shadingutility.exe. The password is "GOSHADING" without the quotes. This process will take a few minutes but it will re-align the lens in the scanner which has gotten out of alignment through vibration. This is what is causing the vertical black line on the left side of the page.

Hi deena730,
Have you tried to check if you have enough disk space in the location where you are directing the Scanner to store scanned images? If not yet please do so, since this is the common cause of this code.
Hope this helps.
Thank you for using FixYa.
Noise
this is a normal thing with scanners i have read reviews about different scanners where the scaners were good prices the only downfall was the noise
Paper jam, but no paper in the machine
This one is easy, its yoru exit sensor, the only sensor in the scanner "looking" up, so dust sits on it untill it thinks its paper. slide in a cotton bud or blow air in the small recess between the 2 black exit rollers visable where the paper exits from.
let me know how you get on.
Red light continues to flash
Just You can see a Reset Option in your Device just use that Device Then your Problem will be Solved

Remove paper from scanner
I have this same problem every time I unplug my Panasonic KV-2026C. I've lost the original disk with the utilities, and the Panasonic web site says, they only provide the disk with the original equipment. You know, I'll never buy another Panasonic product. But I'm usually able to get the ready light to come back on by doing the following. I use a clean cloth that is soaked in Rubbing Alcohol (not nail polish remover, but pure rubbing alcohol). I basically open up the back, and clean each roller. There are two green tabs at the top of the back of the scanner. These need to be opened up (be careful, because the parts sort of fall out if you're not careful, and they are difficult to re-assemble). Again, wipe everything down with the rubbing alcohol. Close up the upper tabs. Make sure you wipe down the glass slits on both the door (front-of-the-page scanning port) and on the unit itsel (back-of-the-page scanning port). Before you close up the back door, let it sit for about 5 minutes, allowing the rubbing alcohol to evaporate. I also connect the scanner to the laptop and get the "blip" sound from Windows to recognize the scanner. I don't know if that's important or not. Then I say a healthy prayer, plug it back in and shut the back door. If there is a god on duty that day, the ready light comes on, and stays on as long as I have the power connected. I just went through the process and it worked!!!! The minute the power is off, the error light stays on. Good luck, my friends! Joe Diehl, Seattle WA
I get a black line
Hi,
Clean it. If you're using the document feeder you will see a speck of dust on the thin spot where the document passes over the scanning head. If you're using the scanning bed then there's either dust on the scanning head below the glass or it's just plain broken.
Good luck!
And Thanks.
Scanner pulls through more than one sheet at a
Clean the rubber rollers with a damp, but well wrung, cloth. No solvents please!. This will remove all the paper dust and give necessary grip to the rollers. If they are worn out you need to replace them.
