When the dishwasher is drying the load it blows the electrical fuse

There most likely is a problem with heating element or a wire shorting

When turning on dishwasher it just fills the base

Most dishwashers kick on a valve to fill with water.
There's a float in there somewhere that triggers the shut off to the filling water.
Once water reaches this cut off level the pump should be throwing water thru the wash arms.

If base isn't filling to capacity...Id look to the drain valve.
If it fills to capacity and stops...the pump may be out or something is obstructing it.

Hope this helps...

Dishes not cleaned properly

Check the small round filter mesh, make sure its clean and that its not clogged. Use a degreaser on your machine then put it throught a hot wash to rinse it through.Remove the bottom and top spray bar and inspect the spray holes and make sure they are completly un obstructed. Replace the spray bar and check that they spin freely. If they are not spinning well remove them again and check the mating surfaces for contamination and wear. if they are worn both the spray bay and their respective receptacles will need replacing.

The dishwasher is not getting water

It is possible that the machine does not start off the cycle because there are errors or feedback from the inputs. For the program to start up the main program controller must initiate the INLET/PUMP MOTOR/DRAIN to work when it is commanded .If this does not happen then the voltage at these points must be checked or the fault relates to no voltage/drive from the controller. This means the controller is a suspect.

Check how to remove the control panel: http://www.espares.co.uk/advice/dishwashers/a/3/1287/how-to-replace-a-hotpoint-dishwasher-fascia-p.html

If the water flows then the flow should be good, if not the inlet valve is bad or there is dirt in the filter. Also check the flow at the inlet of the water line. What is most important for the motor to start functioning is that the door switch must be ON when the door is shut or this will be an error for starting the motor. The water pressure must be good and the spraying must be seen to be good. If there is low pumping or pressure then the spray arms will not turn around to inject with pressure. If so the pump must be checked for clogging.

Dishwasher filled and does not

Hi
Dishwasher not draining issue usually occurs due to kinked drain pipe, clogged drain filter or drain pump. First make sure that the drain is not clogged and remove clogs if present. If no visible lint is present then remove the lower front access panel to check the drain filter and drain pump for any clogs, you'll need to clean the drain filter and drain pump completely. Also, check for any food pieces stuck near the pump impeller & clean the chopper assembly. Please note that dishwashers don't drain out the complete water such that heating element doesn't overheat. Hope this helps... Please post back for any further assistance.

The machine is on but the water has stopped coming

If the inlet tap under the kitchen is ok and the water pressure is ok, then it is possible the water inlet valve in the dishwasher is faulty. you can locate the part on this diagram.

Water keeps running and does not appear to get

The heater in the dishwasher might be faulty. Try running a quick cycle which does not heat water and check if the problem goes away.

The heater element can be found here.

Smells when door is opened

Hi, this is most likely due to food waste stuck in the drain or the drain tube connected to the disposal. Remove bottom rack of dishwasher, then clear any debris from the drain located normally in the center. Be careful, many times I find broken glass in the drain. Next you want to check the drain line. Under the sink there is a flexible drain tube attached the the disposal or main drain stack for the kitchen sink. That is the drain for the dishwasher. Food and other things get stuck along the way and do not make it to the main drain and start stinking. Clean or replace the dishwasher drain tube.

When you switch the dishwasher

Says here the overflow pipe night be blocked and needs to be cleared. When it's cleared if you still get a code "F" and it is still trying to pump dispite no water then remove the side panel and you will more than likely see you have water in the base. Remove the water and run the dishwasher with the side panel off and look for a water leak.

The dishwasher wont turn on. I'm not sure if is

Many dishwashers, due to their power consumption, are on their own house circuit. It may have blown the house fuse or circuit breaker. Ours does it about once every 6 months or so. I just reset the circuit breaker. I'm sure an electrician would tell me to replace the dishwasher or have it serviced to determine why it periodically blows the circuit, so if it has blown the circuit breaker, you should determine why before running it again (unlike me!).

Our Neff S5454x1/21 dishwasher has occasionally stopped/stuck

Looks like the heater unit has packed up.

I cannot seem to find the actual model you have anywhere on the internet. But I am assuming you connect the dishwasher to cold water inlet and it is meant to have a heater.

Are you in UK or Europe. Bosch also makes parts for the NEFF dishwasher but I am not able to find spare parts for your exact model.

Please post a comment.
