The programme stops and has

Hello,

Welcome to FixYa.

Based on your description " the programme stops and has to be moved on manually
"

I suspect the thermostat isn't satisfied when heating the water, ( generally the case, please provide a model number if yours is not a mechanical timer/rotary dial model ) hence it get`s hung up trying to heat in the part`s of the cycle it`s called for.

It very well could be caused by a faulty flow switch, NTC or heater as well but not very likely.

The Neff dishwashers made by Bosch with a rotary dial timer have very few if any, issues with the actual timer or element but they do with the thermostat within the door panel.

If it ( the thermostat ) is not satisfied the water may heat but not be indicated via the thermostat, hence timer will not advance.

Here`s what you can try. If you have any hesitation or reluctance to service this yourself please call in an authorized B/S/H/ ( Bosch/Thermador/Gaggenau ) appliance technician.

**Turn off the breaker at the service panel before attempting any service suggested **

  1. You will require a #20 torx screwdriver to remove the door panel by taking out the screws around the panel, except the ones along the top ( watch the edges they are very sharp )

  2. Once the panel is removed you should see the thermostat over by the detergent dispenser clipped to the inner door, remove it and test it. You`ll need a ohm meter/multi-meter plus a lighter or match to heat it up to see if it open`s & closes.
Example...

5e74230.jpg
**NOTE** it can occur the thermostat can become loose and detach from the bracket which holds it in place, this too can manifest in the sysmptom of the timer not advancing.

Let me know how you make out and what you find.

Thank you for choosing FixYa and Good luck.

Regards,

Macmarkus :)

Hi - I have a

Ok, really you have maybe three problems, that to me seem interconnected.
First, IF connected up to the Hot water source, then either that has failed or the Inlet Solenoid has.
Second, the heating element has failed.
Third, you have some sort of "Timer" problem.

Now all these maybe related, I would think, that you have a faulty Main Board, this then would explain all these symptoms. As they are ones that occur but they are unlikely to occur all at once, hence the diagnosis of the main logic controller board.
Of course, before replacing it, test ALL Input sensors, ensure they are all OK.

I have a neff dish

Hi

Thanks for using FixYa. Yes you are absolutely right. This part is called the water inlet valve. First of all please check that there is no clogging in it and hoses and no foreign object it stuck there. Then you'll need to check with a multi meter that there is continuity in it. If there is no continuity then this part has gone bad and needs to be replaced. After cleaning of water inlet valve and hoses if the issue is resolved then there is no need to replace it. If you have some electric know how you can easily replace it. Please see the links for ordering the part and its replacement----

Order spare part

Replace Water Inlet Valve

Please accept the solution if the issue is resolved or post a comment for further assistance.

Thanks

Neff S4132WOGB dishwasher - timer

It is posible that the timer is defective if there is no movement of the timer to advance and connect to the next program.
A new timer control of the same type is required to be fixed in this case but the wirings must be done correctly.
So before the timer is bought , confirm once again the functions of the motor ,and allied circuits as an estimate must be taken to decide.

I have a Neff S54M45XOGB

Hi

Thanks for using FixYa. This issue can be either due to a faulty door latch or door lock switch which is not engaging itself. And, if the door latch will not engage the dishwasher will sense it as open door and will not start the cycle. The light also blinks when the dishwasher detects a no-fill condition. You’ll need to get access to the fill valve by removing left panel, look at back to see where valve is when you get to it remove one of the wires and set meter to ohms setting and put a lead on each tag on valve. The reading you should be about 3.6k ohm if you don’t get a reading then the valve is at fault. I'll also suggest you to check the detergent dispenser solenoid for this issue. Please do accept the solution if the issue is resolved or else post a comment for further assistance.

Thanks

Cycle won't finish

Hi

Thanks for using FixYa. If the cycle doesn't complete, check these:
Water-heating cycle
Many dishwashers heat the wash and/or rinse water to a higher temperature, as the cycle calls for it. In these cycles, the dishwasher pauses after it has filled with water, waiting for the water to reach the pre-set temperature. What happens next depends, as follows:

On some units, the pause is timed and the unit continues after the allotted time.

On others, the cycle can't continue until the water reaches the higher temperature. If you have this type of dishwasher and the water isn't being heated (say, because of a problem with the heating element or thermostat), after the unit stops at the heating cycle, it never continues. When you repair the heating-system problem, the "cycle problem" is fixed too.

Timer
Timers don't often fail. But if every other part of the dishwasher seems to be working properly and the timer knob seems to be stuck in one place--doing one function continuously--the timer may be at fault. Dishwasher timers can't be repaired. If yours is defective, replace it.

Please do accept the solution if the issue is resolved or else revert for further assistance.

Thanks

Have NEFF built-in dishwasher Typev

Thanks for providing the full product code for your dishwasher. This helped identify its user manual very easily form the Neff website.

Question - have you been using Finsh all-in-one power ball with this unit belore?

When you say spary arms are rotating freely - are you implying you hear the water been thrown around? Leave a container right side up on the top dish tray and see if at end of wash there is water in it.

Have you checked if the Finish tablet is recommended for putting in the detergent compartment of dishwasher. Some types of tablets must be put in the cuttlery basket.

Not sure if all this will get a solution for you but atleast it might answers questions to arrive at the cause of your dishwasher problem.
