Our Frigidaire Gallery induction cooktop is 'locked'. How to unlock?
Press and hold the keypad with the padlock icon until you hear a beep. This should be about 3 seconds. This will toggle the lock on and off. I used the documentation for the Frigidaire FGIC3067MB to check this. On this model, the lock keypad is to the left of the Keep Warm keypad. https://www.frigidaire.com/Kitchen-Appliances/Cooktops/Induction-Cooktops/FGIC3067MB/ . The manual is here: http://manuals.frigidaire.com/prodinfo_pdf/Lassomption/318205604en.pdf . The control panel is shown on page 5 and the lock function is shown on pages 6 and 9.
I hope this helps.

BURNER WILL NOT LIGHT
Try cleaning out the holes in the burner, specially closest to the spark.

Burner won't turn off. stays in simmer mode
Good Afternoon Judy, thanks for your post!
From what you have described the burner on your Frigidaire cooktop will not shut down and continues to run in simmer mode. I would suggest performing a reset on your cooktop and you can do that by disconnecting power from your cooktop for at least ten minutes. If that does not help alleviate your situation you may need to have a burner switch or control panel replaced and that is not a simple DIY job. If any electrical components need to be replaced I would recommend contacting a professional technician for proper repairs to be completed. This will help you avoid any unnecessary part purchases. I hope this information is helpful. -OOS

Have a gas cooktop that clicks even when the knobs in are in the off position
Good Afternoon Hon,
I understand that your Frigidaire gas cooktop, model# FGC30S4ASA, is clicking even when the knobs are in the off position. I suggest resetting your appliance, by either unplugging it or shutting the power off at your home's circuit breaker, for 3-5 minutes. Sometimes there can be a miscommunication between the different boards inside your appliance. Restore power and listen for the clicking with the burner knobs in the off position. I ask that you please follow up with a comment on the post, at your convenience, to advise if further troubleshooting is needed or if your appliances status has changed successfully. Hope this is helpful.
-Best Regards-

Element on light on ... Nothing is on
This happens when one of the infinite switches short out. The indicator lamp will remain on even though none of the elements are heating up. To figure out which one is defective, gain access to the rear of the switches and remove the wire going to terminal P (Pilot) Restore power and see if the light is out now. Keep doing this to the remaining switches until you find the one where the light stays out with the wire removed after power is restored. Supply model number and we will supply the part number for the infinite switch. Be sure to let us know if it is the 6 or 8 inch burner switch. Good Luck and be careful. Eric

GLGC30S8C- The burner dose not
Here is some trouble shooting tips for me to have you check out. This should help you.You go to light the burner on your cook top and the spark does not work. What can the problem be? In most cases the problem will be because thespark ignition module has gone bad. This spark module is a piece of electronics that produces a harmless electric spark at 2-4 pulses per second. Because the spark is a ultra low amperage spark, it is not dangerous.A typical spark ignition is usually in a metal box located somewhere under the cook top of your
stove or in the back panel of your stove. The easiest way to find this
is to simply follow the electric wires that go from the spark ignition
box to the spark tip located at each of the burners. The spark is activated by a switch that is located behind each of the burner control knobs. When one of the switches is turned on, all of the burners spark at the same time. To troubleshoot the spark ignition you need to determine if the system is wired in series or parallel. If the system is a series system and one is not sparking, then none will spark.Almost
every time if the spark is not working, it is because of a bad switch.
To isolate which switch it is, turn each switch till you find the one
that does not activate the module to spark. You can confirm this by
pulling the two wires off of the switch and touching them together. If
you get spark you know that the switch is bad. If no spark happens then
either then a wire is bad or the module is bad. If none of the switches
cause the module to spark then it is a good assumption that the spark module is bad. By checking
through these procedures you will be able to tell whether your problems
are caused by a bad switch, a bad wire, or a bad spark ignition module.
You will discover almost every time that the switch behind the burner
is the part that needs to be replaced. If this is the case you can go to places like sears, or local appliance store and give them model number and all that fun stuff and they can order it (if not in stock) and you can put it in yourself pretty easily, Thanks , I hope this helps, Mike
