I would (had I done that) remove the back of the oven, identify the neutral, this will be shared with the grill element and the Earth wire will be attached to the earth lug in the grill element and the chassis also. The live will be coming from the switch, though you may need to remove to cover to identify. Or, use a continuity tester to identify earth, i.e if short between one of the three wires to the chassis of the oven then that's the earth, then the other two do not matter which way around they go.

Are you sure you mean 'C ooling Fan' and not 'Circulating Fan' which should come on if the temperature selection is higher that the current temperature.

Hello, Sylvia - Since your Neff oven is new, I hope I am correct in thinking you have the owner's instruction manual for the oven and you already checked there to see if there were any troubleshooting tips regarding the fan still running after turning the over off over an hour prior.
