Frigidaire Stove/Oven/Range Cooktop - 318079348 - Answered Questions & Fixed issues
My Frigidaire stove suddenly makes a noise of ***~~~~ sounds.
Good Afternoon Isaac, thank you for your submission!
I see that your Frigidaire stove is not working but the broil light is on. I would suggest disconnecting power from it for at least ten minutes this is how to perform a factory reset. The factory reset may help clear out any miscommunication within the range and allow it to continue to operate properly. If the reset does not help resolve your issue I would suggest having a professional technician out to perform a proper diagnosis. I hope the information I have provided is helpful to you. -Matt

I have a frigidaire ples389dcc as soon as i plug it in it give me a pf code
Good Morning Paul, thank you for your post!
Based off what you have described your Frigidaire range, PLES389DCC, is providing you with an error code of "PF" and "F1" as soon as you turn it on. An error code of "PF" stands for power failure this could be a possible problem with your control panel or power cord.
The error code "F1" stands for a runaway temperature (overheating). This could be an issue with your RTD (Resistance Temperature Detector) or the EOC (Electronic Oven Control). I would recommend performing a reset on your oven and you can do that by disconnecting from your oven for ten minutes. If you continue to have issues with the "F1" error code I would recommend having a professional technician out to your home for proper diagnosis and replacement of any electrical components. Hopefully this information has been helpful. -Matt

How do I reprogram a Frigidaire stove/oven after replacing the eoc?
Thank you for your post, Roy!
Based off the information you have provided you need to reprogram your Frigidaire range because you have replaced the oven control. The best way to reset your range is to disconnect power from it for roughly ten minutes. If that does not help resolve your issue you may need to have another electrical component changed and I would recommend seeking assistance from a professional technician for proper repairs. I hope this information is helpful. -Matt

Oven doesn't let steam out
Thank you for your inquiry, friend!
From the information you have provided your Frigidaire range is not allowing steam to come out. If your vent is blocked it will not release the hot air or steam. Could you provide me with your model number? You can locate the serial tag (which lists your model number) on the door frame of the lower drawer. With the model number I can provide you further assistance. -Matt

How to unlock the door when not cleaning by itself
Thank you for your post, wilma jones!
I understand that the door on your Frigidaire range is not unlocking. I see that you have attempted several troubleshooting steps and the door is still locked. From what you have described it sounds like a possible faulty door switch or wiring harness. I would recommend having a professional technician out to properly diagnosis your range this will help to avoid any unnecessary part purchases. Best of luck! -Matt

Had power go off now er flashing on all burners can not reset
It's possible that you had a surge when the power returned that scrambled the controller's brain. Try disconnecting power and reconnecting to restore normal operation. Disconnect power by unplugging the stove from the wall or switching off the breaker that controls it at your main circuit breaker box. Wait a minute or two, then plug the stove back in or turn the circuit breaker back on. If the stove does not work after this, you may need a new controller board.

Code f1
Hello Friend, this is Z. Thank you for allowing me to assist you!
If you are getting an error code F1, it usually means that your Frigidaire range has detected an issue with the runaway temperature (overheating). One of the best ways to determine if this is a false error code is to reset the power to the appliance by either unplugging it or flipping off the breaker for about ten minutes. If the error code persists, at this moment I would suggest connecting a professional to proceed further. Most likely the EOC (Electronic Oven Control) or RTD Probe (Resistance Temperature Detector) will need replacing. I hope this information helps to some degree.

The left rear stove element went on High and would not turn off by controls, why? There was an F550 code that came earlier with the oven?
My range was doing the same thing. I finally called the Consumer Protection Agency and reported it. It launched a national recall. With their help, Frigidaire replaced my range. On Easter 2014, the new one did the same thing. Burner turned on by itself, to 8.5 with knob in the off position. We had to unplug it. Frigidaire once again did not care. I contacted the CPSA again - they are investigating. I will NEVER have another Frigidaire Range. Check your model number against the recall information. Don't trust it! It is a fire hazard.

Stopped working, flashing code F7 and beeping
Hello Michelle, thank you for your inquiry!
Typically error code F7 indicates that your Frigidaire range is experiencing a failure with either the potentiometer or UIB (User Interface Board). Let's try resetting you range by unplugging it or flipping the household circuit breaker off. This usually clears most false error codes. It is best to wait approximately ten minutes and then turn on your appliance. If the error code persists, it would be advisable to contact an experienced appliance repair tech to assist further.
Best regards - Z

Fef379ach cooktop works oven does not
They are SEPERATE. Oven controls are on a separate circuit. Look for a short, disconnect of one or more connections, or if fused, check for continuity. Check you home fuse box and make certain both circuit breakers are closed. This is a 220VAC system.

How to get the F9 err off when i press the button clean for my oven
The F9 code indicates a problem with the door lock. (Since the oven must lock the door for a cleaning cycle, this will be a "fatal" error for the cleaning cycle.) There are a few possibilities. Open the oven door and look for a L-shaped piece of metal on the top of the oven frame. Check that this lock part is angled to go straight up (12 on an analog clock). If it is rotated slightly, it won't fit properly during the lock cycle. Clean the latch and wiggle it to check if it will move freely. If these steps don't fix the problem, you need to check the door latch motor and switches. You will need to take off the back panel of the oven to find the motor. Check for loose wires or damaged/loose switches. If the motor assembly and switches are good, then the central control (clock) probably needs to be replaced.I hope this helps. Cindy Wells (most self-cleaning ovens will eventually have a problem with the lock assembly.)

Frigidaire stove oven want come on model # FGF368GSJ
Hello Larry D Harris - Does any part of the range work? I would recommend verifying that a fuse is not blown or a circuit breaker tripped. Test the power outlet with a lamp, hair dryer, etc. Another questions, does "Loc" appear in the display if any button is pushed? The Oven Lockout feature automatically locks the oven door, prevents the warmer drawer and most oven controls from being turned ON. If so, press and hold CLEAR/OFF for 3 seconds. A beep will sound. LOC will clear. The "DOOR LOCKED" will continue to flash until the oven door has completely unlocked. Do the maintop burners work? Granting that it does, you can try confirming that the shut-off valve on the gas pressure regulator is in the "ON" position (usually located on the back left-hand side of the range). This valve shuts off gas to the oven. If after the basic troubleshooting, you continue to experience the issue I would suggest contacting a certified technician to assist in the full diagnosis and repair of your range.
