Sony VAIO PCG-K35 Notebook Questions & Answers
Dear sir
i have sony
In my opinion it sounds like the onboard video chipset has failed. That would explain why neither LCD nor outside monitor are showing any output. This is especially likely if you are not even getting the initial logo or Power on Self Test showing on the screens when you first turn on the laptop.

I have sony vaio pcg-81114L laptop.but now its getting stuck?
Stuck? If you mean while working and just freeze (and before never did, none new software or hardware installed), the problem would be with the cooling and the CPU overheats.Try using compressed air or just blow at the air vent opening (install RM clock management to check the CPU temperature)

http://www.realtek.com/downloads/downloadsView.aspx?Langid=1&PNid=23&PFid=23&Level=4&Conn=3&DownTypeID=3&GetDown=false
Here are a couple of links to the drivers I believe you are looking for. Ihad to use the PCG-K35 to find the drivers. I found out that the reakltek AC 97' audio codec driver is what you are looking for from the first link.
The second link is a realtek direct download link.
May the Source code be with you my friend.

I want the pcg 394L
Hi Saurav,PCG 394L is the service tag number. You may need to refer to your product again to determine the actual model name. Model Numbers are usually located on a sticker located on the back or bottom of the unit. They may also be listed on the product manual.Based on the service tag you have provided, the model number might start with VGNFZ.

MY WEB CAM DOSNT WORK,ITS
Hi,
Try this,
1. Check your Windows Device Manager and see if all hardware is recognized and installed
properly.
2. It might be that the hardware is recognized as a camera, but the right drivers are not
installed. The yellow explanation mark will indicate a problem.
3. In that case you can try to update the drivers. Right-click the device, and in the
popup menu select Update Driver Software. Then follow the instructions on screen, but
make sure you allow Windows to search the web for updated drivers.
If this works and helpful, please give a testimonial and vote by pressing button four thumbs up icon.
Sincerely,
Thiyaga

I have PCG-8114L laptop.
Hi
It seems that the power button still pressed, and hanged on this state.
This means that the laptop won't open, so you need to make the button comes back to it's original state.
Try using a tool with sharp edge as a knife to get the button out
Please tell us your results
Good Luck

The icon for my volume control is no longer on the
I had the same problem with my VAIO. You may want to try the MS Tech Support article to troubleshoot. It's helped some people get the volume control in the sys tray again:
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/319095/en-us
I had to do a workaround and put a link to the volume control setting on my desktop:
1. Right click on the desktop. A menu will pop up.
2. Scroll down to New.
3. Choose Shortcut.
2. For Location of the Item, type the following: c:\windows\system32\sndvol32.exe
3. Click next
4. Call the shorcut whatever you wish. For example, Volume Control.
5. Click Finish
You now should have a functioning shortcut on the desktop provided the sndvol32.exe file is not corrupt (see Microsoft article).
