My washer will not fill.

Candy, check the drain hose, make sure it has a air gap and that it is not down too far in the drain. Sounds like a siphoning problem....Catriver post back.

Washer will not fill

Triple, sounds like you are siphoning. Pull the drain hose out from the drain hole. Make sure you have a air gap where the drain hose goes in. Try this first. Catriver..post back

I have a Roper washing machine. Is it normal that she keeps the same water to rinse?

No, it should pump out and add fresh water, agitate, spin, add water again, agitate, and then pump out for final spin. Check the pump and filter area for obstructions. Having said that, the logic board should halt everything and error out if there is no pump out. Try disconnecting from the wall socket for 15 minutes, and then plug back in.

Roper washer top loader. I have replaced the rods, the washer works fine until final spin, it's like out of balance.

Check the feet, they must all be firmly planted with equal weight and level left to right and front to back. If your Roper washer shakes excessively during the spin cycle, this can be caused by your machine sitting on an uneven surface, worn-out rollers, or damaged feet. To solve this problem, you will need to level the floor where your washer is sitting or replace its wheels if there are any worn-out parts.

Roper Washer. Why does Roper washer go off balance?

Suspension rod failure or possibly a rod is out of place if the machine was moved.

My Roper top loading washing machine goes thru the first wash cycle, empties the water then stops. It does not move on to the rinse cycle.

If your Roper top loading washing machine is stuck on the first wash cycle, you're not alone! It's a common problem that can be caused by a few different things. First, check to make sure the lid is closed properly. If it is, then you may need to check the timer, the water level switch, or the motor. If you're not sure how to do this, it's best to call a professional. Trying to fix it yourself could end up costing you more in the long run. But don't worry, you'll be back to washing your clothes in no time! Just remember, when it comes to washing machines, it's better to be safe than sorry.

ROPER WASHER PULLEY SYSTEM WON'T SPIN OR DRAIN

There are a few potential causes for your Roper washer not spinning or draining:
  1. Drive belt: If the drive belt is broken or slipping, it could prevent the tub from spinning. Check the belt for any signs of damage or wear, and make sure it is properly tensioned.
  2. Lid switch: Even though you said the lid switch is ok, it's still worth checking it again as it is responsible for ensuring that the washer will not spin or drain unless the lid is closed.
  3. Motor coupler: The motor coupler connects the motor to the transmission and can wear out over time. If it has failed, the washer won't spin or agitate. Check the coupler for any signs of wear or damage.
  4. Drain pump: A clogged drain pump or pump motor failure can prevent the washer from draining. Check the pump and clean out any debris that may be blocking it.
  5. Control board: The control board could also be a potential culprit, especially if the washer is not completing cycles correctly. Check the board for any signs of damage or malfunction.
  6. Transmission: If none of the above solutions work, there may be an issue with the transmission. This will require a professional repair.
I hope this helps you diagnose and fix the issue with your Roper washer.

ROPER WASHER PULLEY SYSTEM

There are a few things you can try if your Roper washer is not going through the full cycle because it is only filling with a small amount of water:
  • Check the supply of water: Check to see that all of the water supply valves are open and that the hoses are free of kinks and obstructions. The washer may slowly fill due to low water pressure.
  • Check the valve at the inlet: The washer may not properly fill due to a clogged or damaged inlet valve. The valve may need to be replaced in this scenario.
  • Verify the pressure switch by: The pressure switch tells the control board to move the cycle forward by sensing the tub's water level. It's possible that the control board won't be notified to start the next cycle if the pressure switch is broken.
  • Examine the control panel: The control board may be defective and need to be replaced if none of the aforementioned steps resolve the issue.

My roper top loading machine washes but will not advance to rinse it fills up but drains immediately after.

Hi, Please power cycle your washer (ie unplug power for 2 minutes before powering on again). Then, you can move your dial counterclockwise (or opposite the direction that you currently turn your cycle-setting dial) by 90 degrees. Then, attempt a full cycle again. This should help somewhat reset your cycle functions so that it works properly. Thank you.

Troubeshooting Roper Washing machine

Humming is normally indicative of a failed Start/Run Capacitor, but the fact you get nothing from it, leads me to believe it is a control board issue as well. Due the cost, call for Service so that you get the correct diagnosis.

Roper Washing Machine. When I start a wash with my Roper washer it will go straight to rinse and then spin when done rinsing.

Sounds like a bad control board or timer depending on the model. Because of the cost, it is better to get a service call and have it properly diagnosed.
