I need more information about the condition as we may not have to totally delete and reinstall software. Have you tried to safe boot and then do a restore under accessories-system-tools-restore?

Do you have a microphone or a magnet near where this squeal is coming from?
If no to the above, it sounds like you have a mic crossed wire inside, "if" you haven't had any new software installed before this started, The easiest thing is to delete and reload a new audio driver, that's where I would start.
My acer extensa 5220 is overheating
Either CPU is faulty, or the heatsink has lost aderence with the CPU surface or coolin power.
Atandard procedure is refitting or replacing cooling fan, in some rare occasion is the CPU, but that is uncommon and can't be tested.
Another possible cause is the temp sensor on the motherboard that is faulty.
first ensure that is overheating and check temp sensor using

My suggestion would be to try flashing (reload) the bios. You should be able to find a utility from your PC or motherboard manufacturer's website that allows you to create a bootable disk for this purpose.
