If u forget login to windows password, try this: 1. reset PC 2. Fast press F8 (safe mod) 3. Enter Safe mod option 4. Go on settings-profiles and delete all profiles (only admin u cant delete) 5. Reset PC and login without password

ACER does not provide this service for that product. Users are expected to read the User's Guide, and in there it gives instructions on how to create Recovery Backup and Drivers and Applications Backup Disks prior to getting too far into use of the device. There is apparently no recovery partition that can be used, as it is not mentioned anywhere in the documentation. Under the circumstances, if you are down without backup media, unless you purchase a new OS disk (it doesn't have to Windows 8) and install that, you are stuck with a brick for a device. Their support website has hardware drivers for both Windows 7 and Windows 8. If you wanted to install Windows 10, odds are good that all drivers will be included in the OS itself. For any that are not, the Windows 8 driver would probably work just fine. Or just buy a new laptop.

You have to remove the stand first, then the three bottom screws. At that point it should just lift off with a little pull. They might have revised it a little with some snap fit clips around the perimeter, usually a twist with a putty knife or other thin object will pop them loose.

Right now you would need to install either Windows 7 or Windows 8.1. Neither is as good as 10, and will not be supported for much longer. Microsoft is also currently pushing Windows 10 upgrades to users, so you may be either encouraged or eventually forced to upgrade. If you still want to install a different version you MUST have a valid install CD/DVD and product key. hi does it work if you plug in another monitor through vga port. if it doe work with other monitor then check display setting in control panel and see if it set to your main screen. i hope it works. i tried this a couple of years ago and that my screen was actually dead.
