I have a FDL70S1 Frigidaire 70 pint dehumiifer that runs for 3 minutes then shuts off. I have tried to set the timer for it to run longer but it wont. Do you know what is wrong with it?

Hello lynn crisp, thank you for your post!

From what you have explained regarding your Frigidaire dehumidifier it sounds like the sensor or control panel has become faulty. I would recommend resetting your dehumidifier and you can do that by unplugging the power cord for ten minutes. Is your dehumidifier under warranty? If so, you may want to reach out to the manufacturer for a resolution to the problem. I hope this information is helpful. -Matt

Keeps running compressor

Hey randall, thank you for your post!

I see that you're stating the compressor continues to run on your Frigidaire dehumidifier. What you could be hearing is the fan running. The fan will run when the compressor cuts off so that air can pass over the sensor coils to check the humidity. Hopefully this is helpful. -Matt

Frigidaire dehumidifier

Good Afteroon Friend, this is Z. Thank you for your inquiry! Typically there are one or two reasons why your dehumidifier is not collecting water. Either the setting might be set too high or not enough moisture in the room. I suggest changing the set point to a lower setting. Ashumiditydrops in the room the amount of water will decrease and very little water may be generated even when in continuous mode. If these basictroubleshootingtips prove ineffective, then your dehumidifier may possibly have system issues. Is your dehumidifier still in warranty? If so, you might want to reach out directly to the manufacturer to determine the coverage on your dehumidifier and the procedures to any potential remedy in that regard. Best!

What should the setting be set on this dehumidifier when used in a small space?

Hello Friend, that's a great question! May I have your model number please? The serial tag, which lists your model number, is normally located behind your dehumidifier near the bucket. Also, what is the size of the room where your dehumidifier is located? With this data I can provide you the correct setting information. Thank you! - Z

Frigidaire dehumidifier just died shows no power no lights coming checked and made sure outlet was fine

Hey friend, I appreciate your inquiry!

If your Frigidaire dehumidifier is not powering on it could be an issue within the control panel or power cord. I see you checked the outlet it was plugged into, I would test your appliance in another outlet. If you still receive the same response it sounds like it could be a problem within the panel or power cord. Is your appliance under warranty? If so, I would advise you to reach out to the manufacturer to determine any potential remedy. -Matt

What causes the compressor to cycle on & off

Hello friend, thanks for your post!

Based off what you have explained your Frigidaire dehumidifier's compressor cycling off and on could be resolved by a couple of troubleshooting steps. Check the filter to make sure it is not dirty, if the filter is it could cause your dehumidifier to work improperly. Verify nothing is obstructing your appliance from proper intake of air. If you go through those steps and your appliance is still not functioning properly you might want to reach out directly to the manufacturer to determine the warranty coverage on your dehumidifier and the procedures to any potential remedy. I hope this helps to some degree. -Matt

What does an A-5 error code on a Frigidare dehumidifier mean, and how do I correct it

Good Afternoon Friend, this is Z. I am happy to assist you! I show that the correct error code your Frigidaire dehumidifier is receiving is "AS". Typically, it means that your dehumidifier is experiencing a sensor failure. I show there aren't any manufacturer replacement parts available for your dehumidifier. This could be because it is a smaller appliance and repairs are often more costly than the actual appliance replacement. Is your dehumidifier still in warranty? If so, you might want to reach out directly to the manufacturer to determine the coverage on your dehumidifier and the procedures to any potential remedy in that regard. Best of luck!

The bucket will not slide back into the unit?

Hello friend, thank you for your post!

I see you are having difficulty with the bucket not going back into place on your Frigidaire dehumidifier. I would look over the bucket and the inside of your dehumidifier to assure there is no damage done that would be preventing it from being installed correctly. If any damage is visible on your bucket that part can be replaced. If you see damage on the inside of the dehumidifier I would contact the manufacturer to see what kind of additional resolution they could provide. I hope this helps to some degree. -Matt

Removing the filter model fdl7051

Hello Friend, this is Z. Thank you for allowing me to assist you! You would need to remove the bucket to locate the filter of your Frigidaire dehumidifier (FDL70S1). Then pull the filter downwards for cleaning. The filter can be clean by using clean water or vacuum cleaner extension hose. If you use clean water, please allow the filter to dry. Once you reinstalled the filter then replace the bucket. To extinguish the light simply press the FILTER button and your dehumidifier should resume normal operations. Remember it is best to clean your filter every two weeks based on normal operating conditions and typically the FILTER REST light will illuminate after 250 hours of operation. Hope this helps!
