The most common cause of film left behind is a broken heating element.

The heating element is not only used during the dry cycle, but also to raise the water temp. during the main wash cycle to activate the dishwasher detergent. Fixing the heating element should "clear" this problem right up!

Check first the filters on the inlet water line (both sides). Then, if problem still exist - check that the inlet water valve works(it is an electromagnet valve, located at the pipe's entrance to the machine)). If it doesn't work, test that it get power. In case it get power and doesn't work - You can easily open the valve and clean it (from scale or other dirt). Be aware you should disconnect the power cable from machine before doing it !!!! you would be better getting the lot unless you can actually see damage to the impellor. i would pull the wash motor out to see if anything has jammed it aswell.

Not to familiar with this D/W but from what you are saying , I'm guessing that the unit will go thorugh part of the cycle then stop and just keep washing? if that is the case you may have a heat problem the unit could be waiting for the thermost to reach a design temp prior to moving on some D/W i have seen run all night due to this

Try plugging into another socket preferably one that uses a different circuit. It could be a fault in the socket.

First off, lets make sure its not the wiring in your house. disconnect the dishwasher and plug in something else and see if it trips the fuse. also what amps is the breaker rated at?

Check to see if the Upper and lower spin arms rotate easy .. check to see if there is anything blocking them.. also check the venturi assembly (the tower is in the center of the lower spray arm} As it is what supplies the upper spay arm. let me know if this helps?
