It is running for only

Most dehumidifiers run until the room is brought to the humidity level set. It will not come back on until the humidity level comes back. Its very dry in the winter and they will tend to run less.

If you are seeking a dryer level, turn up the amount of dryness, or humidity removal and it should kick on.

Also, make sure the water bin is not full and that the water level switch is not stuck.

If this does not solve the problem, please specify the model and year you bought it please.

Stopped Running - Control Panel CH 01

All, I had this same problem as well. I called the LG Support Line and they told me the unit needed to be serviced. I went through the motions of getting the service providers and what have you, but I wasn't going to go through with it because the closes service provider was a 45 minute drive. I posted how disappointed I was because I had only had the unit for a year, but could not find my earlier post.

Anyay, I am glad I went through the motions, because a few days later LG called and told me they would be shipping me a refurbished replacement. Wow. That was a treat. They shipped me a refurbished unit and had me send the old one back. I did not have to pay a dime. The sent me the Fedex shipping label via email and I called Fedex and they came by and picked it up.

I cannot remember if I had registered the unit when I initially purchased it. Sometimes I won't do that because it seems only to serve as a license to sell me stuff. They took down all my contact information and sent me the unit so I don't know. I would simply encourage everyone with the CH 01 error code to give LG a call via the support number from their website at lgappliances.com. Good luck!

LG 45 Dehumidifier will not

Cleaning a dehumidifer properly - The bucket at the base of the dehumidifier catches the moisture from the air, once its removed it is condensed into water that is drained into the bucket or drain pan. When this bucket becomes full it will shut the unit off until it is emptied and replaced back in the unit. The unit can become full once everyday and should be emptied so that it will continue to run properly.
- It is recommended that your clean the drain pan or bucket once or twice a month. This also reduces the mold, mildew and odor from being recycled back through the air filter during use of dehumidifier. It also helps prevent leaking, dripping and overflowing that can cause damage or hazard.
- Make sure the unit is off or unplugged during cleaning so that no parts are damaged and unit does not run with drain pan and air filter removed. The air filter is hand washable with mild soap and warm water. After washing the air filter place on a small cloth and let air dry before placing back into the unit. Also, do not place a damp or wet air filter inside the unit. Make sure that it is dry so that air circulation is not affected.
- Clean the outside of the casing with a mild soap and damp cloth making sure you do not use any harsh chemicals. Harsh chemicals can damage your unit and its parts. Do not spray any substance directly onto the unit or its vents, this can cause damage or injury. To properly clean the vents you can use the vacuum attachments to gently remove dust and dirt from the vents. This will help proper operation of your dehumidifier.
- Remove the cover on the top control panels to clean the coils inside the unit. Unscrew each screw on both sides of the control panel casing. Then left up and forward to remove from unit. Use a soft tooth brush or lint free dusting wand and gently dust debris from coils. Do not use water, cleaners or spray chemicals on coils, it may cause damage or rusting.
- Make sure you have reinstalled all the parts removed during cleaning correctly before plugging the dehumidifier back into the power supply. Check that all parts are replaced before plugging unit back in to a power source. Make sure that the power is still off on the unit before plugging back in to avoid damage and injury. Once you have ensured that the unit is clean and all the parts are reinstalled properly, plug in the unit and turn the dehumidifier on to check proper function. It may take a few hours for the unit to cut off during its cycle due to unit being unplugged. Check the settings that is recommended for your specific model and type.

dehumidifier_intro(2).gif Trouble shooting your dehumidifier
- If your unit is running continuously make sure that you have measured the room properly for the size per ratio to the room you are using the dehumidifier. Making sure that all windows and outside doors are closed will keep the unit from running for long periods of time especially on a day where humidiy is high. . A 65 pint unit is used for basments and larger rooms. For household use it is best that a 30 to 45 pint unit is used for basic size rooms. The standard units have a basic 65°F setting that is used best for bedrooms, kitchens, dens and bathrooms. It also depends on the amount of moisture you want to remove from the air.
- If you have set a timer to allow for a timed cycle this will cause the unit to cycle for the duration that was set on the front panel. You can turn this off by pressing the timer button and reset the unit.
- If the humidity in your home stays above the temperature set on the unit it will continue to run until desired humidity is accomplished. Making sure that it is not set below 65°F on the dehumidifier will ensure that it will shut off, its not recommended that the unit not be installed in a area of the house where low temperature are constant. This can cause the units parts to develop frost which can cause damage and rust over time.
- If the dehumidifier is not running check the drain pan or bucket, if it is full it will shut the unit off to avoid overflow and damage. There is a bucket full light indicator on the control panel. If this is light has come on please remove and empty the bucket and place it back inside the unit.
- If you unit is making noise as it runs turn unit off and unplug it from the power source. Check all screws around the casing and rear panel of unit. Check for gaps between the unit and wall that it was installed. Check the fan on the rear panel for air flow, see if it has any cracks or has loose screws. Check the bearings inside the unit to see if they are worn and loose, if so replace and install new bearings and power unit on and see if this solved the issue.
- If you have water dripping from the unit check the drain pan and bucket for leaks or cracks. Check to see if the drain hose is leaking due a bad connector, if this is the issue tighten the hose to the connector and test unit to see if the issue is resolved. If the bucket is full this can also cause small dripping, always empty the bucket when the bucket full indicator is on.

Heat exhaust for the LG Dehumidifier LHD45ELY7

I have not resolved the issue yet.
I don't like getting into a web site, filling out a form with info and then after a click or two, find out I have to pay.
I'm sure you have experts that are very good, but I can't afford to join up with everything that run across. I'm sure it says that you have to pay on the first page, but I didn't see it.
Maybe some other time.
So, I'll just keep working at the problem until I get it.
Thanks.

I have an ebac15 dehumidifier. When I moved it there was an oily liquid underneath. Why would this be?

There could be several reasons why you're finding an oily liquid underneath your Ebac15 dehumidifier: Refrigerant Leak: If the dehumidifier is leaking refrigerant, it could result in an oily substance pooling underneath. Refrigerant leaks are often accompanied by an oily residue1\. Compressor Issue: A malfunctioning compressor can cause refrigerant leaks and result in an oily substance accumulating underneath the dehumidifier. Condenser Coil Leak: If the condenser coil is damaged or deteriorating, it may lead to refrigerant leaks and the presence of oil underneath the dehumidifier. Internal Component Failure: Internal components such as seals or tubing may degrade over time, leading to leaks of refrigerant or oil. Improper Handling During Transport: If the dehumidifier was tilted or handled roughly during transportation, it could have caused oil from the compressor or other internal components to leak. Given the potential hazards associated with refrigerant leaks, it's advisable to discontinue the use of the dehumidifier and consult a professional technician for diagnosis and repair.

The Units are made in the Far East and are often sold under different maker names but retaining all or part of the model number. Here is the manual sold by Evantair. It has a compressor.https://www.manualslib.com/manual/1016879/Evantair-Wdh-816eah.html#manual..

Question edited for a lot more clarity, add maker, fix English. It sounds like a refrigeration issue like low gas. There are various idea here, but you probably need to drop it off at a refrigeration service centre. https://www.google.com/search?q=gd2005+dehumidifier+starts+and+stops+working ..
