LG Dehumidifier LD650EAL Questions & Answers
Unit keeps cycling off and on with the "bucket full" light blinking
It appears as if the water may not be flowing through the hose.
* When you use a hose the unit must be located near the drain. If the hose is to long the water will not flow freely and cause the water to back up in the hose triggering the bucket full.
* If the unit is lower or the hose runs up hill even the slightest incline will cause the water not to flow backing up to the machine
* Hose must remain flat and in a down hill flow to the drain if you are running a longer hose than recommended. If you are have a long distance to run the hose elevate the dehumidifieer by placing it on a stand, milk crate, anything that will hold the unit. Be sure it is large enough and strong enough to support the unit to prevent it from falling. This will help siphon the water from the unit and prevent any water to back up the unit.
* If your using an old hose make sure there are no kinks and water flows freely through the hose. Any kinks or type of pinch in the hose will cause the water to back up
I hope this helps resolve your issue. This is the most common mistake when using a hose.
Bucket full light is on, but there is no water in the bucket
I had the same problem. For me the fix was to take all the covers off, remove the bucket switch, clean the contacts on the switch, and i poured alcohol all over the switch and repeatedly pressed on the actuator . I dried it all off, put everything back and it worked again like a charm.

LG LD450EAL no power
Try resetting the GFI breaker, assuming it is connected to one. Also check the main breaker panel to make sure the breaker is not tripped. Unfortunately the electronic panels do go bad in these systems after a few years of service. Try resetting the unit. There should be a tiny reset button on the back. Also if the bucket is full it will not turn on, make sure it is in place and seated properly or it will not turn on. There may be a reset on the cord itself as well, hope this helps.
Dehumidifier keeps running and no water collects in the bucket
Sounds like a refrigeration problem, I am assuming the fan operates. Unplug it and let it set for about an hour. Plug it in and see if the compressor starts. If it does and you do not get water It is either low on gas or the compressor has failed. If the compressor does not start but hums it would need a new capacitor. If nothing the thermal overload has probably failed. This should get you started. Good Luck. If it is to involved they are not that expensive to replace.
Reservoir not filling
did you try taking a qtip and cleaning any gunk on the inside plastic hose? That just happened with mine and I am giving it a shot. Had a ton of brown stuff blocking the pathway. I jsut do not know where the genesis of the hose is, so I could only get in so far. Let me know how it goes.
