GE Zoneline In Wall Ptac Unit Air Conditioner 9300 Btu - Cooling And Heating - Page 4 Questions & Answers
Stat issues with GE Zoneline
Your coils on the outside unit may need cleaning. When they get dirty, air cannot flow through them to remove heat from the refrigerant. When this happens pressure increases until it trips a safety and shuts the unit down.
It won't run again until the pressure drops to a safe level. Also check your drain line..Make sure it's dripping. If not it's clogged and that will trip the safety switch not allowing water to back up
Air Conditioning broken - fan still works
Probably a control board failure. If the modes don't work and the fan auto/on works, I'd say the circuit board has failed. Does the fan turn on when cool is selected? If not, 99% sure it's the board. If it does, it's probably a compressor component issue. Window units are considered throw aways.
Wiring a ge motor 220; has three black wires
That's a 3 phase motor(ph3). And probably a 220v/460v? Or a 110v/220v, BIG difference! You'll need to figure out your supply voltage and wire it accordingly. Normally, if 220/460, all 3 black wires are hot legs, and this is probably what you have, because 110v will normally have higher amperage than what you posted. And if the motor runs backwards, switch any leg with 1 other. Hope this helps!
