Booting up

Hi,
the system is looking for a certain file or a command prompt.
1:) try re-installing your operating system, this will overwrite any corrupt or deleted files. ** backup important data first**
Although you should get the option to:- leave existing file system intact.
2:) if this is a recent problem, you could restore the computer ( windows XP ) to an earlier date. before the problem occured.
3:) enter the bios to ensure the computer is booting from HDD first.
Hope this helps.

Problem witk video input

hello:

Make sure that you have things plugged in correctly. You should check how it is plugged into the monitor and on the computer.
Make sure your settings on the LCD is set to the cable you are using from the computer. This has to be set right. If you have the setting wrong, you will get no signal on the LCD.

Try another monitor.

Try another video card.

Make sure the video is set right in the bios if you can get to it with another monitor.
take care,

Ram problem..

carthi, I do not think the problem your having currently has anything to do with your memory. If your video card was integrated into the board I might agree there could be a problem with your memory but that is not true. Your video card is an AGP8x device. Black & red colored lines can be produced from either a bad monitor or a bad video card. Your K8S-MX motherboard can not run DDR1 ( unless you mean that slot 1 DIMM you replaced). Your board only supports, 2x184-pin DDR DIMM sockets for up to 2GB non-ECC PC3200 / PC2700 /PC1600 DDR DIMM's. No video display suggests your video card may be going bad or monitor is going bad. To prove this concept, please temporally switch your monitor with a monitor you know functions correctly. If you can not temporally switch your monitor with someone else than replace your AGP8x video card. You can find up to six pages of AGP8x video cards listed at the link below.

The XFX cards carry Lifetime Warranty.
If you find you have more questions feel free to ask.

Good Luck & Kind Regards.

my understanding is that if you do not have other drives in a raid configuration you do not need the raid driver loaded ,have your hard drive plugged into the first sata slot, then format the hard drive ,instal o/s and all should be good.

hope this is of help

How do I enhance my Asus PadFone X mini speaker loudness?

Look for a program called Sound Booster or one called DFX. DFX is my favorite because it not only boosts the volume, but lets you add other effects to enhance you sound as well. There is a free version. but to get all the effects you have to upgrade to the paid. If audio is important to you, check it out.
