You could try replacing the RAM. This is the most common fault for that problem.

Hello,It's a driver related issue or the touchpad is locked. Unlock it. Each computer has it's own way on how to unlock the touchpad. Please provide me with the model of your computer so that I can provide you with the correct steps. You can also scan your computer with RadarSync so that you will know if the drivers are out-of-date especially the touchpad driver. Your touchpad stops working if the driver is out-of-date so you might want to check RadarSync. David

It goes to PXE, because it no longer sees the hard drive or OS. Boot into BIOS and verify hard drive exits. Go ahead and make it 1st boot. If problems still exists, reseat or replace it.
