Pumps such as the Simer 2305 do not pump water totally down to ground level. They are designed so they do not suck up debris , sediment, etc, which can clog and ruin the pump. So if your pump leaves an inch or so of water, that is normal.

Check the float for proper operation, chances are it’s stuck in a position that’s calling for the system to be on (as if there’s water in the basket) or its failed.

That does not appear to be that hot. The reset can be automatic or manual depending on the motor used. That information would be in the manual or if it is a manual reset it would be the red button on the motor. Be sure you have power to the pump first. The 30C may just be a concidance.

hello two.... get back with some more details if this first response does not answer your question. If you have a typical shallow or deep well system, it is set up intentionally so that the pump does not come on every time the water is turned on. Instead, let's say the pump is set to come on when the pressure drops down to 20 pounds per square inch and turn off when the pressure hits 40 pounds per square inch.

As long as the pressure is within that range, turning on the water will not turn on the pump. Joe

If the outlet of the discharge hose/pipe is

submerged you must have a 1/8" hole in the discharge

They make self priming pumps that need no pit.

remove the bolts that the hold two ends on . mark houseing,scratch one end with a x from end cap to houseing. then the other end with a stright line from end cap to motor houseing so it all stay the way it came apart. ok.remove the end that was the cord or get to it . cut wires long but not to long there is no room in the motor for it. you will need a good pair of crimping plires and rigth size crimps connectors. and some rubber tape or srink tube to cover repaired lines in motor. some motors have bolt /screw to connect to it. make a drawing of the wires on the motor before removing. after repairis made with volt /ohm meter, set to the lowset ohms setting. check each line to see if it connected right. make sure it looks like your drawing .line up ends with reference mark install bolts tight but not too tight. good luck

The Simer brand of submersible dewatering pumps rely on being fully submersed in water for proper cooling and for the seals to remain water tight and effective.

According to the manufacturer, there is no oil used in the pump, other than a very small amount that was used in assembling the pump at the factory, so you shouldn't oil the pump, but rather follow the recommendations as to making sure the pump is installed properly.

It is leaking due to a defective mechanical seal. It needs to be replaced. To replace it, is to take the pumpcase
off by taking off the bolts that hold it. Then, take the impeller off to take the mechanical seal behind it. Put the replacement in, and reassemble the pump. Just get in touch with us by e-mail to get more assistance.
