I have a paper jam.
Hello,
Among the most common problems with any make of copier are paper jams. A copier will jam for any number of reasons: It’s dirty, the wrong paper
type is being used, or the rollers on the copier that feed the paper
through its pathway are worn down. While cleaning the copier
periodically and using the correct paper type are easy fixes, also, the roller may need replacement, the roller is a difficult task to replace, i will advice you get a repairman to help with that.
Take care.
I need a 64 bit Canon D780 printer driver...where
Okay so this may not help you now, but I just got a hand me down D780.
After much frustration and research here's the solution that I was able
to work with. It isn't perfect; but it's something....So here
are the steps for network shared installation; assuming your D780 is
installed on an old xp desktop and you're using a Win-7 laptop. If
you're using the printer directly on your Win-7 machine, just use the
local printer installation after the XP mode has been installed. 1)
You'll have to install WinXP mode on Win-7 using the steps listed on
this link. If you have a genuine Win-7 copy installed, this download
and installation is free, courtesy Microsoft.
http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows7/products/features/windows-xp-mode2)
After installation, you'll have to change network settings for your
virtual pc. This step is necessary if you want to be on the same home
network and want to see the printer! Never mind if you don't understand
this logic. Just follow the steps and you'll do just fine. To change
the network settings in vPC: click Tools; click Settings; select Network
from left; then for Adapter 1 choose the actual network adapter
connected to your router (simply put: select the wireless adapter or
wired adapter you're using to connect to your actual router or home
network. You can find that from Change Adapter Settings in Network and
Sharing.) Click Ok.3) Now add the printer as local or networked
following your usual XP steps. You should be able to see the printer.
If not, open a command prompt window, check your ip to make sure you're
on same network. If not, or if you don't know how to do that, just
type in ipconfig /release enter and then ipconfig /renew enter. Try to
connect to the shared printer by pinging the ip of the host computer.
If the ping works, you should be able to see the printer then.Connect printer and use in XP mode. Not the best solution, I
know. But it's free and at least lets you print from your laptop,
given the circumstances.
I am getting an E000 message and there is nothing
This is a fuser error you need to replace the fuser.
you need to remove the covers on the left side. Then look under the black plastic sheet. You will see the fuser. You need a very short No 2 phlips head screw driver like 1 inch long. remove the screws and un-plug it.
It will slip out. Get a new fuser and install.
Thank you, Steven
Where do I find a Win7 compatible driver for my
Go to the Canon website -
www.usa.canon.com and search for the driver there.
If you cannot find it, then more than likely Canon has chosen not to support the printer on this operating system. Your next best option would be to look for a generic Canon driver from within the Windows Driver list.

Drum Memory
Make about 5 to 10 prints; then, leave the machine in the office environment (normal temperature/humidity conditions)
* This symptom is noticeable in a low temperature/ humidity environment, and is absent under normal environmental conditions.
* This symptom occurs in keeping with the primary charging roller rotation (38 mm).

I will recommend that you put your printer power off for 2 seconds and remove the tray again and reset it back accordingly and put the power on again and try to fax. Make sure you turn. Let me know how it went.
