Printing blank pages
This is Printhead problem. The nozzles are blocked so it does not print the colors, Try replacing the Printhead

Printer offline
You may have to download a new driver from Canon. Delete it first then reinstall. Also try using a different port.
Printing stopped partly done document

Try reseating the print
head and the cartridges. If this does not fix the problem, you will have to
replace the print head or replace the printer.

Try to head clean your printer at-least twice after cleaning is done click nozzle check button ...thanks
Printer has worked perfectly since purchased,
The print head is still probably still partially blocked. Cleaning/deep cleaning tries to clear the head by flushing ink through, doesn't always work but does use up your ink.
You can get print head cleaning kits, PC shops,ebay etc. Try one of those.

Pixma ip5000 suddenly started printing
Welcome to FixYa.
Please do the following:
Solution 1.
- Make sure that the colored ink cartridges are not empty or nearing empty.
- Make sure that the ink cartridges are genuine Canon.
- Remove all the ink cartridges.
- Turn OFF the printer and remove the power cord from the power source.
- Wait for 15 minutes then connect back the power cord to the power source.
- Install the ink cartridges properly.
- Make sure that it is seated properly.
- Perform a deep cleaning, this will use a lot of ink.
Deep Cleaning:
- For Windows 7
- Click the 'Start' button from the bottom left of the Windows screen, and then click on 'Devices and Printers'.
- Click your right mouse button on the listing for your printer, and then select 'Printing Preferences' from the menu that appears.
- For Windows Vista
- Click / Select the 'Start' from the bottom left of the Windows screen, 'Control Panel', 'Hardware and Sound', and then click on 'Printers'.
- Note: If you are in 'Classic' view, click 'Printers' directly from the 'Control Panel'.
- Click your right mouse button on the listing for your printer, and then select 'Preferences' from the menu that appears.
- For Windows XP Home Edition
- Click / Select the 'Start' button from the bottom left of the Windows screen, 'Control Panel,' 'Printers and Other Hardware,' and 'Printers and Faxes.'
- Click your right mouse button on the listing for your printer, and then select 'Preferences' from the menu that appears.
- For Windows XP Professional Edition
- Click 'Start' from the bottom left of the Windows screen, and 'Printers and Faxes.'
- Click your right mouse button on the listing for your printer, and then select 'Preferences' from the menu that appears.
Solution 2.
- Make sure that you are using a Canon compatible print media.
- Adjust the printer quality settings according to your print media.
Solution 3.
Replace the ink cartridges. It may be defective.
