Canon DR-9080C Path-Through Scanner - Page 8 Questions & Answers
Canon DR7580 only pulls one page then stops.
First select count only mode and put a bunch, check if the roller/scanner is picking up and counting okay. If this is done, then you must check your software settings. May be your command is to scan only one page. If the scanner is not counting properly, then clean the rollers with a damp cloth. The ****** (bottom one near tray) roller must be cleaned ideally when power is off.

My Canon Dr-9080C isnt pulling the paper into the
The scanner is assuming there is no paper. Just under the rubber rollers, in the paper tray there is a paper sensor. Clean that area with a damp cloth. Keep some papers and try "count-only". It it works then sensor is okay, else, you need to check the sensor.

Acrobat and Canon DR-9080C not working
You are right, it is driver related issue. Acobat 9 has more features that may not be compatible with the existing driver. may be you can use CapturePerfect and directly create PDF and then use the Optimising features of Acrobat 9. Ofcourse you have to do it twice, but you can use the 'batch' process and do it automatically.

If I put a large amount of paper in my canon
I could not understand your problem clearly.
If I am right, you are saying that if you scan 100 pages, about 80 pages are scanned properly and the there is problem with the balance 20. Clean the rollers throughly with a damp cloth and also the ****** rollers. Please swithc of the scanner when you are cleaning the ****** rollers as they are in a 'locked' position in power on position.
If your problem is different, please explain it clearly.

HELP BIG JOB DUE TOMORROW!
Vertical lines are from dust on the Glass. Use Isopropyl alcohol, no solvents pls. Try scanning in diff contrast levels and if the thichness varies, it is confirmed dust on glass, whereas any fault in the reading unit will be constant and also have sharp edges.

External Control and Scan counts of DR-9080C
THe scan count is available in the control panel (under scanners...) and if the user is a non-administrator, he/she cannot reset it.
Canon 9080C permits installation of a mechanical counter inside the scanner. This can help you track the scanned quantity.
The way your question is detailed, I am sure you must be aware of these facts!

Hello, i m using canon scanner and i am not happy
CapturePerfect is a good software. What version are you using? What is the problem. It is easy and meets general requirements. The only problem I found with CapturePerfect is that it does not accept changes made in settings, you need to go todefault and then select the settings of your choice.
If you have installed the driver, you can also use Micorsoft Document imaging for scanning.

Canon DR-9080C paper tray lift broken
Michael,
U can buy 9080C service manual at tradebit.com
9080C has no belt for lifting the tray. It has arm and a few gears. Ensure that the plastic gears are not deformed. Good Luck. Which version of Capture perfect do you use?

Canon DR-9080c Ghosting Problem
Though I've never seen this on any scanner, I can imagine it being a reading glass out of place. This could cause a weaker reflected image overlaying the direct one. Look at the top & bottom glass strips in the transport area. They should look level & unbroken.
