Replace the 3 x AA memory batteries. It needs those as they are the equivalent of the motherboard battery in a computer. The master reset button in normally hidden under the Cash Total or Sub Total buttons. • John Zhang Jan 10, 2022 Ok, I have at least found the reason why I couldn't program white keys into "Subtotal", it was an error in my programming key sequence. The transaction keys (i.e. Subtotal, CA, CH etc.) all needs to have a record No. 02, likewise all department keys needs to have a record No. 05 associated with them. I figured this one out by reading the report of key character programming (PGM - 4 - Subtotal - Subtotal). So the correct programming key sequence to program a white key to "Subtotal" transaction key is: PGM - 4 - Subtotal - 000 - Subtotal - 02075 - appropriate key - Subtotal I still don't know how to disable keys that are not intended to be used. • ADMIN Canada Jan 10, 2022 Delete I don't want to put the answer down in the Answer Box as it will mark it as solved. What I would suggest is that you try and get hold of the dealer software. This allows you to Program via a Laptop Computer. It is a much easier interface. Or contact your local Casio dealer and ask what they would charge to come out and do it? I had my initial programming done this way, and it took the engineer less than an hour.

So getting the CV10 software is not pressingly needed, but thanks for the link. BTW, you said you didn't want to put down your response as answer, how can you do that? The Fixya webpage doesn't have any "answer" button or similar link that allows me to answer my own question. All I could see from my question webpage are: Edit, Recategorize, Delete. And "add comment" link.

You can't answer your own Questions, but you can Edit and and add further information to the main question box as ANSWER: blah blah blah..

The X Key gives you a breakdown at any time of day and can be done as many times a day or a period that you like. All the totals remain. I did this in my bar when the day shift left and the night shift started. I replaced the cash drawer with a new float. When you do the Z Reading, it gives you one last report and then zeros all the daily totals, and advances the Z read totals by one, and also leaves a cumulative Cash total to prevent *****.

You can't do that. Leaving the cumulative figures is to prevent F.R.A.U.D. You either do a Factory Reset and clear everything, or you leave it. The only remaining data is number of Z Readings and the Cumulative Cash Total.

Your keyboard might need new batteries or is broken and has stopped working or it could be on the wrong settings.

Contact the maker/dealer direct for a new display. If you are good with a soldering iron, strip it down and look for a blown capacitor on the back of the display board.

Check to see if the sprocket is turning. You may need a new printer unit. Also try pulling a piece of journal roll through manually as you press a sale. Also it is not unknown for staff to sabotage the journal roll mechanism for thieving purposes and to stop the audit trail.
