Do you have to pull the full oven out to replace the grill element on a Zanussi ZDF490

you usually have to remove a couple screws from the back panel to get to the element and in others u can remove it from within if u look inside u should be able to see if it has a screw holding it. and the connecting plugs can be removed from the element

I have a Zamussi ZUQ875 double oven. I have just replaced the bottom oven element after it went bang. Nothing tripped out but the digital display has gone out and cannot get main oven to work because

i suspect that you did cut power to the oven when you replaced the element. therefore the oven needs to be reset as new. there are quite a few pages of instructions on setting the timer so be prepared if you are going to to proceed with this "little" project.I was able to locate your manual online here:http://kitchen.manualsonline.com/manuals/mfg/zanussi/zuq_875.html?idRes=625295 I suggest unplugging it for a few minutes...then plugging it back in. Hopefully if the electrical is good you will see the oven's timer flashing. then you can proceed with the instructions from page 7.Otherwise, you may have a blown a short and should get a licensed electrician to look at it.Another option would be to contact the manufacturer:[email protected], find the bloke that installed it and invite him over for dinner and maybe he'll notice it's not working and will fix it for free! ;-)Good luck mate!

Not heating

Hello & Welcome to FixYa

This indicates an open/shorted oven temperature sensor and to solve this problem the temp.sensor needs replacement. If you want to be sure before replacing the sensor then you can test it with a voltmeter for around 1100ohms....if it reads more then this then it needs replacement however, if the reading is around or less then 1100ohms then it is the control board that needs replacement. Please get back to me if you have any other questions.

I have a ZDF20X double oven and the main bottom

Most likely it is a faulty oven heating element.

You will need to replace the element.

Usually the element is a circular shape which is situated near the fan, normally you will need to remove the back of the oven, Switch off the power at the wall first, locate the element and remove the fixing screws and electrical connections then fit the new element and reconnect.

Only attempt this replacement if you are confident to do so and have a basic electrical and mechanical knowledge.

THE FAN IS WORKING ON THE MAIN OVEN BUT NO HEAT

1, If the fan motor in the back of the oven is going round and the temperature light is on (normally little red light), but there is no heat then you will probably need a new oven element, these are generally very easy to fit and readily available from our website these can be tested with a electric meter.
To gain access to the NEFF element you will have to remove the back plate from inside the oven. Once removed you will see the fan and element, if you look closely at the element you will probably see a small hole burnt in it where it has blown. Sometimes however there is no evidence of a fault but the element is open circuit ie: broken inside the element casing, either way it will need replacing. Some elements will are fixed from inside the oven and some are held in place by nuts from the rear of the machine.
2, If your NEFF fan oven is getting warm but takes a very long time to cook or is burning the food more on one side than the other, then you need to check if your oven fan motor is working you will see the blade turning fast if it is ok. if the element is heating but the fan motor is not blowing the heat into the oven then you need To replace the oven fan motor is a little more expensive and a bit more involved.
3. If you have the opposite problem ie: your oven is over heating and burning everything then you will need to replace your NEFF oven thermostat
4, A quite common and easily overlooked answer is if your NEFF oven is not working at all ie: no heat and no fan then the chances are that someone has put the oven timer into AUTO mode, simply put oven back to MANUAL mode and all should be working again.

MAIN OVEN FAN STOPPED WORKING

Firstly switch off the stove isolator(switch)

1:I would suggest removing the back panel and checking the wires to the motor to see if any terminals have broken/fallen off(on the Zanussi ovens you should be able to see these easily). Also check that the armature can spin freely.

2:If OK, Switch isolator and stove back on and check for voltage (230v) to these terminals.

3:If No 1&2 solutions have not solved your problem please come back to me.

Hope I have resolved you question, but please leave positive feedback if so , as it still takes time to answer questions and it would just be nice to know if I have helped.

Recently wired a double oven with isolator switch

Hi, there's definitely a electrical problem.
First, use the bottom oven only for about 15 minutes and check if it doesn't trip.
Second, use just the grill (top oven) for about 15 minutes and check if it doesn't trip.
The reason is sometimes grill elements are corroded and only trip after a few minutes.
Also, if both ovens work ok on their own, then it could be your fuse box not strong enough, or the isolator switch fuse be only 13amp. If your oven is more than 3Kw (check the label on the door for info) then you need a 30amp fuse to hold when both ovens are on.
Cheers

Zanuisi top oven making noise

Yes , there is a cooling fan located at the top of the oven
It could be the fan blades catching, or a noisy fan bearing.
You would have to access it by removing the top oven cover to check., and yes it could be as a result of having it cleaned.
Plz rate my solution.
Thanks.

Error code 367Zanussi cooker not working what is the cause of the error code 367

Error code 367 on a Zanussi cooker typically indicates an issue with the temperature sensor or thermostat. When this error occurs, it means that the temperature sensor is detecting an abnormal or out-of-range temperature. Here are some possible causes and steps you can take to troubleshoot the issue:
  1. Power cycle the cooker: Turn off the cooker and unplug it from the power source. Wait for a few minutes, then plug it back in and turn it on. Sometimes, a simple power cycle can resolve temporary glitches or errors.
  2. Check the temperature sensor: The temperature sensor is responsible for detecting the oven's temperature and sending signals to the control board. It's possible that the sensor has become faulty or disconnected. Inspect the sensor for any visible damage or loose connections. If necessary, consult the cooker's user manual for instructions on how to access and check the sensor.
  3. Inspect the thermostat: The thermostat regulates the oven's temperature. If the thermostat is malfunctioning, it could be causing the error code 367. Look for any signs of damage or wear on the thermostat. If you suspect a faulty thermostat, it may require professional repair or replacement.
  4. Contact customer support: If the above steps do not resolve the issue, it's recommended to contact Zanussi's customer support or a qualified technician for further assistance. They will have the expertise to diagnose the specific problem with your cooker and provide guidance on the necessary repairs or part replacements.
It's important to consult the cooker's user manual or documentation for model-specific troubleshooting steps or error code interpretations. The manual may provide additional information or suggestions for resolving error code 367 on your particular Zanussi cooker.

  1. Turn off the power to the microwave oven at the circuit breaker or fuse box.
  2. Remove any food or dishes from the microwave oven.

Temp change during cooking zanussi ZOP37922

Both gas and electric ovens will cycle on and off throughout the cooking cycle to maintain the set temperature. When the oven temperature has dropped below the set temperature, the oven cycles on again to provide heat and will cycle off again once the temperature is higher than the set temperature.

Hi the grill on my zanussi freestanding cooker is not working but the oven and hob are still working and we replaced the element in the grill so it's not that

If you have replaced the grill element and it still doesn't work, there are a few other things you can check. First, make sure that the grill is actually turned on and that the grill control knob is set to the correct temperature. Next, check the grill's thermostat, which is typically located near the grill element. Use a multimeter to check the continuity of the thermostat, as a faulty thermostat can prevent the grill from heating up. If the thermostat is functioning properly, you may need to check the grill's selector switch, which determines whether the grill or oven is used. A faulty switch can prevent the grill from working. Finally, if none of these solutions work, there may be a wiring issue within the grill or in the main control board of the cooker. In this case, it may be best to seek the assistance of a professional technician to diagnose and repair the issue.
