I've had that happen before. I just started using the tip of a ballpoint pen to eject the card. Believe me, if it doesn't just slide back on, you might have to disassemble the laptop casing to put it back on...big hassle. I suggest you just use a pen, pencil or something similar to pop out the card.

Check your display settings. In Vista (I suspect) and Win7, right click on a spot on the desktop with no icons or programs. Select Screen Resolution. There is a drop down menu item labeled Orientation. Change this to Landscape if it is in Portrait or vice versa. (The Screen Resolution can also be accessed through the Control Panel.)

If you have a different operating system, the names may be different but it should be fairly similar.
