WHEN I PLUG IT IN THE SCREEN SHOWS THAT THERE IS
Please just follow the below steps fix your problem
1. Check for loose electrical and VGA cables. Remove the electric cord from the back of the monitor, then put it back in place. Remove the VGA cable from the computer and monitor and put it back in place. Make sure the connection is tight. If you're using a cable extender, remove it.
2. Plug the monitor's electric cord into a different outlet. If you're using a UPS or surge protector, plug it directly into a wall outlet.
3. Attach the monitor to a different computer. If the monitor still doesn't work, replace the monitor's cable. Make sure the cable is less than 5 feet long. If it still doesn't work, the monitor will need to be replaced or repaired. If it works with no problem on the other computer, troubleshoot your video card.
4. Unplug your computer from the monitor and power outlet. Remove the cover. Pull the video card out of the slot on the system board. Push it back into place. Be sure the connection is secure.
5. Put the CD that came with your video card into your computer's CD-ROM drive. Follow the directions to reinstall the video card drivers. Download a new version of the drivers from the manufacturer's website if necessary.
6. Right-click a blank area of your Desktop. Choose "Properties" from the display menu. Click the "Settings" tab. Try different screen resolutions to resolve the problem.
7. Determine whether the problem is caused by electrical interference. Electrical interference will make the monitor appear jumpy or wavy. Move any speakers, radios, fans or other items that can cause electrical interference away from the monitor.
Thanks.
It did not jump start. unlike other ATX power
Compaqs have a different power supply compared to other computers. Compaq power supplys have 24-pin connectors; and if this is the case with yours, try bridging the gray cable to the ground (black) and see if that starts up.
Will not boot
With limited information, this could be many things, however, I can try to explain what is happening.
The computer runs several tests before it boots. This process is called POST (power on self test). During POST, all critical systems are analyzed, albeit a short test. When the system comes to something that does not pass the test, it usually puts up a warning allowing you to either continue or shut down and fix it.
Sometimes, it comes to a test that creates a "loop" of instructions for the computer. When a loop happens, the computer does the same thing over and over and cannot stop.
A loop can occur during POST if an instruction is not followed correctly. The most common cause for this in your type of computer is a problem with either the boot sector on the hard drive or the hard drive itself.
Try disconnecting the hard drive and boot to a floppy or a cd. If the computer boots, you know where your trouble is.
If on the other hand, with the hard drive disconnected and the same problem occurs, change your memory to fix the problem.
Good luck

Front plate removal
You should find screws clips, or both on the back side of the front section. Sometimes you need to push it off from the back. HP can be complicated sometimes.
Slow moving computer
Yes, If you have no problem losing your data.
If you care about your data I would install a good antivirus program if you are not using one . If you are using one make sure it is updated and perform a full system scan. Also if you have the newst version of Internet Explorer clear out your temporary internet files & cookies.
System Error 32 on my Desktop Computer
If you have tried everything, including reloading Windows, look inside the case and check the capacitors on the motherboard. The motherboard is the main circuitboard, and the capacitors look like little batteries. There are usually 10-20 capacitors on a typical PC motherboard. A healthy capacitor has a very flat top, but a "popped" capacitor is bulged top and bottom. Sometimes there is even a bit of residue leaking from the bottom of the capacitor.
If you have popped capacitors and you are not handy with a soldering iron, it may be best just to replace the PC (seriously). If you can handle a soldering iron, you may have luck replacing the popped capacitors. They only cost about $1 each, and they are easy to pick up from a place like www.digi-key.com.
Hard Drive detects immenent failure.
If this is a brand new hard drive from a store return it for a new one.
Hard drives have a built in feature called SMART. For some reason the SMART function is reading that there is something very wrong with the drive.
If you have more than one hard drive installed on the system make sure SMART is detecting it on the new drive and not the older ones by unplugging the other drives from the motherboard.
