First install the chipset driver.
Then install the audio driver. Your computer will detect your sound blaster.
I've not...
Make sure you are using the right driver

The first step is to make sure that the device is working properly, and the drivers for it are installed. right click on 'my computer' or 'computer' in the start menu, then click properties, then look for device manager. you will see a list of all the hardware in your computer in a collapsible menu. go down to sound video and game controllers and look to make sure your sound blaster is listed there, and that there is not a yellow '?' or '!' over the icon next to it.
If the device is listed there and has no errors on it, the next thing to check is to make sure it is not muted, click the speaker in the bottom right hand corner of your screen and go to mixer, make sure that the little image of a speaker below each volume slider is not crossed out.
failing these options, it could be a problem with your speakers, remove the plug from the green socket on the back of the sound card, and plug in a set of headphones in its place, see if you get any sound that way.
