go to. support.dell.com check for the latest drivers with ur model no. if not available.. use latest vista drivers .. will work..

u need to uninstall the drivers for the printer on ur vista computer,.. go to the following link and download latest vista drivers..
it will work..

just power down the printer to discharge the static electricity.. then take the paper tray out.. clean the roller and check if anything appears broken there.. if not.. lift the printer and shake it slightly.. put the power back.. check the cartridges if are correctly seated.. if yes then it should work fine.. if does not.. there's no use to take it to the repair shop you can buy a new printer in less than repair price like dell v313 for $ 59 with warranty.

I had the same problem so I called Dell and they told me that Dell A920 isnt compatable with windows 7

My printer does this when the paper isn't seated properly and/or that paper guide isn't set correctly. If this all seems OK, then try a head clean. You should be able to do this from the printer options in Windows.

Get the service code on the body of the A920 and got to Dell Driver Download to get the latest Vista printer driver.

Use a small eye drop and GENTLY clean the ink cartridge.

Perform a print head clean in printer software. OR if a tricolour cartridge most probably empty as its the most often used.

its means the LEXBCE services is stopped ....to solve this issue you have to change the registry


to open registry goto start ..>run ..> type regedit press enter it will open a window then goto
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\Current Control Set\Services\ Spooler in right side pane of the window see for DependOnService double click on that it will open one more pup up there you can some later RPCSS form there delete the pcss (make sure R will be there )and click ok ...restart your PC and check it ...

you need to down l oad t he latest drivers for the dell printer

does the laptop detected your printer? if not check the connection between the printer and the laptop if the connection is ok vista should recognized the device that you have plug in and will prompt you to insert the driver disc, or try reinstalling the printer software again

did you take the protective tape off of the bottom of the new cartrige?

Try reinstalling the software. Delete the old software first and download the latest software from the link below. Just choose your version of windows. If you are using Win 7 try the Vista driver.

This depends on the software you are using to design the business cards. Most software, by default, place text with shadowing to make it stand out and give it an artistic look. Try highlighting the text and right clicking on it for different options. Also, refer to the programs "help" or bring it up by pressing F1 (while the program is open) and searching for shadow or font effects. Please specify which program you are using to create the cards and I can assist in disabling this feature.

Hi, There is a setting for this and all you have to do is find it. I'm going to give instructions for windows XP using a HP printer, but even if yours isn't the same, it should give you an idea of what to look for.
On the pull down menu (not the print button) under file is "print", click that. Now look for the general settings tab, click that. Now look for a preference button, click it. Look for a tab that says color, click it. You will notice a setting that says "grey scale" if it is checked, click it to uncheck it. That was your problem.
