A long stripe . looks

Howdy there! It sounds to me that the alligning tape has broke. Is there any way that this printer is older? Maybe not used for a spell? If it is older then it could have dried up and the line will crack and eventually break..... If this is the case, unfortunately, you need to replace the printer as the repair is just about the same cost.... Guy

Printer power on. turned off to change cartridges.

Hi Good day!! Please try to restart your printer spooler..

1. Click "Start"
2. Click "Settings"
3. Click "Control panel"
4. Click "Administrative tools"
5. Click "Services" you should be on services box now.
6. Find "printer spooler" after that click stop and then re enable it. hope your printer works now...

Can a dell 922 run on windows 7

Access the manufacturer's web-site for your Photo All-In-One:

http://support.dell.com/support/downloads/driverslist.aspx?c=us&cs=19&l=en&s=dhs&os=WW1&osl=en&SystemID=PRN_ALL_A922&catid=-1&impid=-1

and look at the pull-down which lists the supported Operating Systems.

If Windows 7 is not listed, then "experiment" by trying the Windows Vista device-driver.

AIO 922 Printing problem- additional

You may need to align ink cartridges when characters are not properly formed or are not aligned at the left margin, or when vertical or straight lines appear wavy.

Ink Cartridge Maintenance

To align the ink cartridges:
1 Load plain paper.

2 Click Start?Programs or All Programs?Dell Printers?Dell Photo AIO Printer 922?Dell Printer Solution Center.

3 Click the Maintenance tab

4 Click Align to fix blurry edges.

5 Click Print.

The ink cartridges align when the page prints.

If you have already tried the above, you may need to do this part:

To clean the ink cartridge nozzles:

1 Load plain paper.

2 Click Start?Programs or All Programs?Dell Printers?Dell Photo AIO Printer 922?Dell Printer Solution Center.

3 Click the Maintenance tab.

4 Click Clean to fix horizontal streaks.

5 Click Print.

When the page prints it forces ink through the clogged nozzles to clean them.

6 Print your document again to verify the improved print quality.

7 If you are not satisfied with the print quality, wipe the ink cartridge nozzles with a q-tip, and then print your document again.


If neither of these fix it, then you have a larger hardware problem going on here.... You will either need to contact Dell about repairs / replacement (I recommend you do this if it's still within the warranty period, if you are unsure please call them and find out at 1-800-624-9897)

If it is definitely out of warranty, and neither of those fix it, I would suggest an inexpensive replacement printer (that is better actually anyways) such as:

Dell 922 All-In-One InkJet Priter won't print. It

If the power is completely missing then the source inside it has failed - normal for such an old printer, they tend to fail after 5 years. The printer is fixable, a good electronics repairman would fix it in less than an hour. But, with the same money you would give him to fix your present printer you could buy a brand new one with better characteristics.
Time for a new one.

I receive the dldtjswx.exe error

Ok, this is a problem with that model printer.
Right click start, left click explore, click the + sign on the program files folder. Look for the Dell Printer 922 folder and click on it. Look in the folder for dlbtjswx.exe in the folder and double click on it. This should install it, if it didn't install. If that doesn't work, then try re-installing the printer following the instructions below.

Disconnect your printer. Download and run this patch (a MUST with Vista machines) to completely remove the printer from your computer.

Restart your computer.

Download the proper drivers

XP Drivers

Vista 32-bit Drivers
Install the proper drivers. You'll be prompted when to connect your printer.

Scanning
Scanning using USB connection, open the Dell All-In-One Center, click on scanning and copying and scan from there.

Scanning wirelessly, use the scan buttons on the printer.

I just bought a new

You need to install the program from the CD that came with the printer OR download the software from dells website and install it.

Even thought its a dell machine and a dell printer, the drivers still need to be installed for it to work.

if you don't have the cd you can obtain the program from http://support.dell.com/support/downloads/

My dell all in one printer # 922 just quit

I am having exactly the same problem. I was told to uninstall the printer and reinstall it, following instructions on the computer. But at the end of downloading the reinstall, it tells me to put in the cd that came with the printer to finish. I do not have the cd, so I would like to know how to get one?

Dell 922 saying there is a paper jam

First try this. Turn off the printer, remove all the cartridges, drum, open all the doors and remove all the trays. Now verify that there's no actual paper jam by exploring through the inside of the printer. You can use a blower to blow any dust or pieces of paper, etc.. from the printer. Now use the manual feed and put in thicker paper several times (push in and pull out). Again reinstall and reconnect every components and boot the printer. If the actual printer's paper sensor isn't broken or stuck or twisted, this will definitely clear the paper jam message on the printer.

If the problem persists, please download this small text file and follow the instructions (click here). Open the link, click "Download Now" button, wait for 20 seconds and again click "Download File Now" link and read the instructions and follow step by step.
