USB Port Dell 1700 Printer
On the back side of the printer (left side) below the parallel port and below the LAN (ethernet) port is the USB port. It looks like a barn door. The cable you would need to use is an A/B USB cable. it has the standard rectangular usb port on one end and the funny barn door that is used by printers and scanners on the other end. reset the counter, press and hold the Cancel button until all lights flash in sequence.

Hi, if showing, right click printer icon on bottom of screen. Menu if showing, click jobs waiting.
Right click on the work you wish to cancel, menu click delete, that should clear the box of the print job.
Alternative. Click Start/Printers & Devices/Right Click Default Printer/Click Properties/Click See Whats printing/Right click print job menu/Click dropdown Delete.

This type of error message is often caused by either something has been changed in the program or your operating system. The easiest way to correct this is to uninstall and reinstall the program (Quattro Pro). Reinstalling the program will reset everything back to the state where it is working properly.

What makes a printer print
I have the exact same problem. Print is great on the left side of the page, but too light to read on the right side. Have already replaced both drum and toner cartridge - still same problem.

Unless your 'new' cartridge has a used chip, it's likely that the pagecount for the Photoconductor/Drum Unit is at the replace stage.
The Drum unit has a small waste toner collection container, is this becomes over-full, waste toner 'spews' into the printer with dire effects. This is ONE of the reasons that drum units have a rated pagecount.
You can reset the drum counter without actually replacing the drum, but this should be used as a short term measure ONLY, AND AT YOUR OWN RISK.
The Photconductor reset procedure is as follows.
