Are you reinstalling because you have reformatted?

If using hi-def audio you will need to install the following from Microsoft: Univeral Audio Architecture (UAA) High Definition Audio.

Click customise
At the bottom click on Add or remove commands
Now find the Home icon ( little house ) and add

The driver for the installed sound card has failed. Check the Dell site for your model and downlo0ad the sound driver for it and reistall it.

Update ur sound driver & make sure ur hardware is connected properly and and install reginout it will automatically fix ur problem

How old is your laptop; I had similar problems with my Dell Studio a few months before and I found out that the rubber 'things' under the keys are damaged and no more functioning because of the extensive usage.In this case you need to replace your keyboard (If you are under warranty then you can get a replacement). If your warranty is expired buy a keyboard and fix it yourself it is not that hard to do follow the instructions here to do it yourself : http://dell.to/ax0ph5
Also check if there is something stuck underneath the key, if something is there use a small safety pin sized thin and flexible rode to remove it (some times this will solve your problem).

You just need to enter your operating system and other details, and it will give you all the available drivers and updates etc.

Hi. You have a no power issue there. Try draining the power from the laptop by removing the battery and ac adapter. Press and hold the power button for 10 seconds and connect the ac adapter again. Now power on the system. If it powers on, you fixed it. If it didn't power back on, You might have to replace your motherboard.

sounds like your cord isnt giving full charge, this could also be a driver update needed, some times the batteries need to be flashed, or the bios needs to be updated, the battery is paired with the comp from the factory, sometimes if it doesnt meet all the systems ideals they wont register, go into your device manager and see if the battery has a upside down triangle with an exclamation point if it does right click and update

go to control panel and click on user accounts and create a user

first take the power pack to RADIO SHACK They will tell you if it is a working one by testing it.
If it is a working item replace the battery for your laptop instead

Hi,

This bad video drivers.

Restart the machine and repeatedly tap the F8 key. When you see the advanced boot menu appear choose safe mode.

You will see white text on screen that will stop on a system 32 driver, wait a minute and let it boot through.

Next, go do device manager and uninstall the display drivers.
Reboot the machine and it should boot into windows normally. You may have to reinstall the display drivers if they don't reinstall themselves.

if always hang every time you turn on... try to re installed the OS

Identify the make and model of your webcam.
Identify the version of Windows you are running.

Go to the webcam maker's website and download the drivers for your model of webcam and version of Windows you are using. Disconnect the webcam, install the drivers and reconnect the webcam.

Try to run the Dell Diagnostics by pressing the Fn+Power button

If it didn't run, you have a busted motherboard...

You need to replace the motherboard...
