Yes they are the same. Both machines are made by Konica Minolta. They share most all the same parts. Some of the consumable parts like toner and Imaging unit are slightly different.
Both are very good machines.

Is projector went down or just lost signal? If it's losing signal it can because your computer's video card or projector's.. Try to wiev from only projector , not with both of them...

You didn't include a model number, and "no" cleaning it and/or blowing it off won't help you -in fact may make things worse. The "Green roller" you talk about is the drum, it needs to be replaced - unless it's part of the toner cartridge, then that's all you need to replace.

you need to provide sufficient information in order to receive a proper diagnosis. make? model? led color? number of blinks?

Since drum is a life span part, once certain counter is reach, message will pop out. Well, if the machine is running in good condition, just ignore it.

Probably the back up battery is dead, and has been set back to default settings.
I can't help you with the method of setting, but it has switched to "manual receive", instead of "automatic", and "tx report" (transmission report) is off.
....and "no" you can't install a new battery yourself, and depending on the model, I doubt it's worth having repaired
