I think there are 2 causes epson c 63 printer not print problem.
First one is: Your ink cartrige are not install properly.
Solution: Try to install ink cartrige properly, in this time please clean ink cartrige chip as well as connector.
Secoundly: printer main board problem. Print data does not pass through main board.
Solution: Please replace new one.

Yes it is so happen, that's the disadvantages of not using genuine ink.... If I were you use genuine cartridges.. and if you were to think to lessen you expense tried to refill it with the people who knows refilling... maybe you just destroy your cartridge... because when you refill it full the tendency is to ruin the cartridge.

you will need the right driver for your OS. Try visiting Epsons website and searching for your printer. they may offer an updated driver. if not, my best solution, get a new printer.

Epson, apart from the chips was invented so that when the printer takes a certain amount of printed pages (about 8000 or so, in most models), suddenly stops working, the two buttons start to flash and does not walk more .

This is because the ink that they will bring to the cartridges when cleaning heads, going somewhere. These are the waste ink tanks, this is where you stay, and the printer has a meter that estimates when the tank is full and stops the printer to prevent ink overflow and cause an internal short circuit.

jst disconnect the printer first from the computer and turn it off and continiously try to press and release the power button of the printer for 20-30 times and then try to turn it on and then see.

First of all are the cartridges your using originals? The reason i ask is because there are alot of suppliers out there of cartridges....cheap but of poor quality. It sounds as if your print head needs cleaning. Try using a good quality cartridge every so often as most of the original cartridges have a cleaning solution in there inks.

You can't because NO-ONE has ever, nor will ever write one, the printer companies would probably literally kill anyone that did it, printer ink is more valuable than uranium, that's how they make their money... they want you to have to buy color tanks to print even when you only want need black, it is all a conspiracy..lol. Seriously if you only want black you have to get a single tank black only printer..

Hi, pel40169, if you installed a new cartridges in your epson printer, it must work. But in your case, maybe you leave your printer for a long period of time(couple of months) with an empty ink. If you did, then the printer head may get clogged which cause the print out doesn't appear.

Here is a better advice: If your printer get an empty cartridge, you must replace it with a new one immediately to avoid ink clog. It's better that you have a spare cartridge as reserve.

You may try to clean your printer using the cleaning feature of your printer by following this instructions:

1. Open "Printers and Faxes". (Start>Control Panel>Printers and Faxes)
2. Right click the model of your printer
3. Select "Printing Preferences"
4. Go to "Maintenance" Tab
5. Select "Head Cleaning"

Do it only twice then print a nozzle check. If the problem persist, you can bring it to the store where you bought the new cartridge to know your problem. And if it's under warranty, you can bring it where you bought your printer for them to fix it for you. If it's not, you can ask for a printer technician, you can easily find a printer technician in ink refilling centers.

and both the C62 and C64 printers are supported in Windows XP, but not Windows Vista, nor by Windows 7.

The printer determines the amount of ink left in the cartridge by counting the number of ink "shots" when printing, head cleaning etc. This information is stored in the "chip" on the cartridge. Thus, it is not an actual measurement of the ink left, but an estimate calculated by subtracting the total shots from the original full ink quantity. This estimate can sometimes be grossly in error, usually due to a cartridge replacement not being carried out correctly, or a cartridge that wasn't, in fact, properly filled. In other words, your cartridge (or cartridges) may actually be empty, even though the Status Monitor says there is ink in it/them.

You do not say if this problem is one cartridge, or all four. If it is the latter, then something is clearly amiss, since it is unlikely all four would be erroneously reported as containing ink when actually empty.

However, the first step is to buy a new set of cartridges - you can get a set of compatible cartridges from E-Bay very cheaply. You can save the old ones - tape up the nozzles to keep them from drying out - you may be able to use them again when you know what is going on.

Make sure you go through a proper cartridge replacement process so that an ink charging cycle is carried out.

If the new cartridges produce no printing, try a couple of head cleans and nozzle checks. If this still produces no print, report back with a new comment on what you have done so far.
