to restore the factory setting you must boot the laptop off of the restore CD it will wipe the drive and reinstall the factory software and drivers just walk through the prompts. holding the f8 key will not restore the laptop to factory settings it just allows for options during windows startup

RTM - Read The Manual.Get onlineand got to www.google.com In the google search box type: "FujitsuSupport" (without the quotes and put your manufacturer name before Support). Look for downloads and drivers. Enter your model number and operatingsystem when requested. Look for Manuals. Search the manual for bios or bios password.

goto website: http://www.fmworld.net/globalpc/download/ and download driver and extract that file and then run setup.exe or install.exe

Download the win7 sound driver for your laptop and install it.

If it is the graphic's driver that is missing, you can go to the Fujitsu Support > Downloads page to obtain the latest drivers for Windows XP.

1. Go to http://ts.fujitsu.com/support/downloads.html
2. In the 'Product Search by Serial-/Identnumber' searc box, type AMILO D7820.
   
3. Once the page opens, verify that 'Windows XP' appears under 'Selected Operating System'.
4. In the list which appears, click on the '+' near graphics.
5. Select the version of the driver you want and click on the download link.

Is there a switch on the side of the laptop? Turn it on if there is one. Are the proper drivers installed? Go into the Device manager (press the windows flag + pause/break, then click device manager). Find the Network adapters. Is your Wi-Fi listed?
