I am not clear from your question as to whether you have purchased a replacement hose and need to know how to fit it or you are asking how you use the hose to vacuum?
If you are trying to fit a new hose, with the old one removed, simply line up the large plastic cuff on the base of the hose (this is the one with the cable tidy) and push it downwards into the slot at the base of the main body until it clicks into place. You can then insert the wand handle back in and store it on the machine.
If you would like to know how to to use the wand/hose, simply press the wand catch on the front of the wand handle just above the main carrying handle and pull it upwards. You can then splide the hose to the bottom of the metal pipe and press the button on the hose cuff to release the wand handle. The tools fit directly onto the hose cuff for vacuuming the car, your stairs or upholstery.
Hi.
I assume you have unscrewed the handle from tje cyclone whilst the bin is still attached. Its a common mistake to make. There is no wY that you can open that flap without the rod.
Next time ensure you take the bin off first.
Right, the only way you can get the flap open is to use the rod.
Unscrew thevrod from the handle and then hold the rod above the cyclone and insert the rod into the cyclone lining it up with the catch at the bottom. once its in pree the button and flap will open. Whilst pressing the button use your other hand to lift the cyclone off the ground so the flap will have space to open.
Hi there, it's Jack at Dyson.
It's normal for a vacuum cleaner's exhaust air and casing to become warm in use, due to the heat created by the motor when it's running. Dyson vacuums are equipped with a thermal cutout device, and this will shut the vacuum down if it starts to overheat.
It's worth checking your machine for blockages, and giving the pre-filter a wash - we recommend doing this at least once every 3-6 months as shown in the video attached. Use cold water without detergent, and allow at least 12 hours for both parts of the filter to dry completely before replacing them.
As long as your DC07 is picking up as normal and isn't making an unusual noise or smell in use, there shouldn't be an issue. But if you're concerned, you're welcome to reach out to our experts for further advice. You can reach us by calling 0800 298 0298 (UK), 1-866-693-9766 (US), 1-877-397-6622 (CA) or 1800 239 766 (AU).

I had the same problem. There are two groves that need sticky and need lubrication. They are located on a cylindrical part. Turn the Dyson upside down and you will see how the part with the brushes moves. Look for the two grooves on the gray part and lubricate them. I think I used a household lubrication product. Just a few drops and you will find that the front will easily slide into "vacuuming position" very easily.
Hi Amanda, it's Jack at Dyson.
Unfortunately it sounds like the shoelace jamming the brush bar may have caused damage to the cleaner head. It's probably best if you can give our freephone Helpline a call so we can take some further details. If your machine is within our 5-year guarantee period, our experts can confirm if we're able to replace the cleaner head for you.
You can reach us on 0800 298 0298. Calls are free from UK landlines, and we're available from 8am-8pm from Monday to Friday, and 8am-6pm on weekends.
We'll look forward to speaking with you.
