6 quad s series
Try new SATA cables, check if they are OK and connected on RIGHT primary SATA connection (NOT on RAID). If you have another HDD, try it too.

Dvd code 10
Check the cord connection between the dvd player and the computer. Re boot the computer and then plug the dvd player in. Be sure the dvd player is connected to the power source.
You should "see" it on the computer as an icon if you are displaying the desk top
If not, click on the desk top Windows icon, and then click on Computer when the pop up comes on.
You should see the display of your computer and hard drives
The dvd player icon should show up under "devices with removable storage" there.
Re check the dvd is actually on.
Click on Control Panel and then "Hardware and devices" You will see your printer etc.
If the dvd player doesnt show up, try and open the dvd player to load in a disc. If the tray doesnt open, the player is defective
If it does, then the fault is in the computer "Device Manager"
Go to the computer Device Manager and you will see the device name with a red x against it.
The two possible faults are
1. The driver is missing or damaged
2. The device is defective
If you have the skilset, delete the dvd driver and install it again from the manufacturers (Toshiba?) web site
If you dont, find a geeky friend!

What is the CMOS Battery replacement for GA-7N400Pro2 m/b
Most computers use a CR2032 type 3 volt battery, but this can vary. The type is usually engraved on the top of the battery so you can check and note the type. ALWAYS disconnect from the mains when delving in the innards, and note that some battery retainers can be quite delicate. Make sure you get the polarity right as well.
