Gigabyte GA-8I848P-G Motherboard - Answered Questions & Fixed issues
My problem with the Gigabyte
Hi, what you have not tested for isolation is your power supply, re-seating of processor for 20 minutes, cmos clearing or battery removal and mother board swapping. If all your isolation seems futile the worst is the mother board.

Where can I find motherboard
You can check the Gigabyte website for warranty information. Normally new motherboards come with a 1 year warranty.
To replace it, remove all the pc cards and connectors. Remove the screws that secure the motherboard. Move the processor and heat sink to the new motherboard. Install the motherboard and then all the PC cards and connectors.

Hi
after a my power
One bad lead can cause a computer to continue on a cycle or to shutdown or fail to detect/ boot up a computer hard drive
Test all leads that attach to your hard drive including electrical extensions,IDE,SATA
the leads from your "((MOTHERBOARD TO YOUR HARD DRIVE))" make sure they have a secure connection and are not faulty or just replace them they could be faulty
make sure all leads that are attached to your drives dvd\cd 3 1/2 inch floppy have secure connections and are not faulty even the electrical extensions or just replace them they could be faulty a computer needs its connections to continue its cycle and have an end so any faulty leads will end up with a computer error even something as small as a faulty electrical extension or fan lead can cause this problem
follow the troubleshooting procedure a computer needs all of the data and electrical current to travel through every device and to have an end to be able work properly
a motherboard and a hard drive any leads between them will fail before your motherboard or your hard drive if its a flat ribbon 40 pin type IDE replace it this will be the first to fail check all electrical extensions make sure they are securely seated even the cd/dvd floppy drives need to have current go through make sure these drives are working hope this helps also it could be a dirty computer clean all of the dust from your computer you could use a vacuum cleaner but whatever you use make absolutely sure there is no moisture gets to anything in your computer
hope this helps

Hi,
I would like to update
You can get the BIOS flash utility at the Gigabyte website. As far as the actual flashing is concerned, it is a fairly simple and straight forward process. The specifics will depend on the utility that you download. You will need TWO things. The flash utility and the firmware you wish to install. Just a bit of warning, improper flashing of the mobo's BIOS can lead to catastrophic failure of the motherboard, so take care and follow the instructions to the letter.

There no audio in pc.i
Hello
Try these steps
1. Check cables, make sure the audio cable is in the correct colored connector. make sure the power is hooked up
2. check power, make sure the speakers are turned on if needed
3, check volume. turn it up on the speakers themselves. then check the volume in windows (often located by the clock in the lower right part of the screen. or you can search thru windows control panel under sound. Or you can open windows media player and turn up the volume/unmute there
4. update drivers which you said you did
5. test a wide variety of audio thru a wide variety of different sources. windows media player, youtube, pandora.com etc.
If none of this works then its time for trial and error. You will want to try the spearks in a known good computer. or try known good speakers with your computer. see if you can figure out which is the problem. you may have a defective sound card or the speakers may be defective. at which time you will need to replace.
Hope this helps, good luck!

No sound
You can check system settings with microsoft fixit center.
http://support.microsoft.com/mats/no_sound/en-us
Sometimes you can see another application is using the speaker. So you can boot in safe mode and use the application again to see whether the sound is working. If all the volume and device choosing are right in control panel, then you can try to update the sound card driver or switch devices and see.

Scanning BIOS Image in Hard
Your BIOS to your GA-8I848P-G Motherboard would be flashable to the BIOS chip on the Board it's self. Make sure you read Gigabytes BIOS flash instructions. If the board is up and running Windows, then Gigabyte has there LIVE BIOS update you can run from there website!
Good luck..

I have GA-8I848P-G and it was working good until
If you have same problem when you loaded at BIOS, may be 2 variants:
1. keyboard broken(need to be replaced)
2. MB broken (need to be replaced)
Trying use other keyboard on for tests helps locate problem. But if at BIOS all works good, that means trouble in the Windows(need reinstall)

Monitor is not on
Im gonna take it that "yup i'm hear the any beep" means you do hear a beep.
So first If it has an onboard vga card. remove the second vga and hook the monitor up to the onboard and try to boot.
Second try the Power Supply, make sure whatever power supply you use has enough to handle all the equipment in the unit.
If those two don't solve the problem, then you have a bad motherboard.

Led pwr+hd isn on, cpu fan is runing, but no
if your monitor is working properlly, then you should check the following things:-Remove ram and start the computer. If it gives you any beep then your motherboard is all right. And if not, then it's time to buy a new motherboard.
