Gigabyte GA-8I848P-G Motherboard - Page 6 Questions & Answers
Have a LG L194WT 1440x900 display but cannot set that resolyution - max is 1280 x 1024 after upgrade from Windows 8 to 8.1
There are two possible issues that can cause this:
- The graphics adapter driver is not correct (using default VGA)
- The OS doesn't recognize the monitor's resolution capability.
Look at the DEVICE MANAGER screen and observe what the display adapter type is. If it is a "standard VGA" then you need to search for an updated adapter for your computer's graphics card or internal chipset (if onboard graphics).
If the display adapter is correct, then check with the LG site to see if there is a monitor driver that can be loaded to aid in the OS identifying the monitor's native resolution. If there is no Windows 8 driver, you can try a Windows 7 driver...it may work.

Is a Trident TGUI9680-1 graphics card compatible for a Gigabyte GA-M61PME-S2 motherboard?
These cards were new back in 1995. It WILL work installed in one of the PCI slots, but you will probably have to settle for the default VGA drivers since there most likely won't be anything available for the newer OS's. Don't expect great video quality of fast performance either since machines of that vintage clocked around 200 Mhz, unlike the 2+ GHz machines of today. Good Luck!

Bent pins warranty
Gigabyte is not SuperMicro, so it is not likely, but you can try.

Via bus master ide driver
Hi, is the board ga m800m or v800m please. There appears to be no board with that designation. If it was an OEMit would still bear the ASUS designation? If you are certain of the model please let me know and I will see if I can track it down

I have a problem with my computer.when i want to install windows, the windows can not detect any hard drive on my computer.the mb gigabyte ga-945gzm-s2
attach power and data cables, use a new data cable. check that the hdd pwers up when the pc is switched on. as the machine boots up go into the bios and check whether it is detected there. There might be an option in bios to switch between IDE mode and native SATA mode.
without changing in bios just go into it and then press F10 to save and exit. If the drive does not show up then restart and re-enter bios then change the forementioned option to the other stting and press F10 again to save and exit. You should be lucky hopefully.
If this procedure does not give any joy check that your drive is compatible with your board. If it is a newer drive it may well need to have jumpers adjusted to set it to SATA2,which is what that board used I believe.
Good Luck
