make sure you have the proper power rating and ATX connection, your power supply may not have enough wattage to power your board, be sure its at least 300W
try searching for the sound drivers in Google, or on gigabyte's site, look through device manager and make sure the drivers are installed and the device is working and not throwing an error code.
Motherboard was generated by power supply to running it.. If there is no power when you click the power on, it may caused by the power supply unit problem
you have a motherboard system fault. 1) try different memory sticks 2) check if hard drive wired in correctly the broad ribbon cable to it should have the stripe next the the power 4 pin plug 3) try a different video card there are other things to try but try these first
You will need a manual for this board. There is no manual for USA. This link below is for euro. http://www.giga-byte.com.tw/Products/Motherboard/Products_Overview.aspx?ProductID=1766
There are two power connectors. Both can be seen on pg. 6
Motherboard layout.
There is one ATX 20 pin connector just behind the Floppy drive cable connector. The second power connector is to the left of the CPU & down behind the intergrated USB. It is a 4-pin ATX_12volt connector. If either one is not connected correctly the moard will not boot. The case to motherboard connectors is located on
pg.15. F_Panel (2x10 pins Connector) & PWR_LED = (Power LED) for case.
Please use the manual as your guide.

Hi orlandotech, you are aware the Integrated ProSavage8 2D/3D graphics uses you're current system memory to function.
Couple things you can try. First download & install the video drivers I found on the internet for your card. Lets see if one of these fixes you're trouble. The link is for Gigabyte 7VM400AM-RZ VIA 1616/1617 codec 5.20b driver. Though its not you're board the video chip is the same. (VIA 1616/1617). So give the driver a chance. (Click on the link). Unistall old driver's first.
