IDL500- keeps tripping fuse when

Possible that there is a short within the power supply, the motor or the capacitor. You will need to check by disconnection of the circuits in isolating till trip over stops. Also if this is a ELCB then there can be leak in the circuit that trips due to the ground leak.

N01 light is flashing? Not working

"First green light flashing"... that meant the float cut off switch which is right at the bottom of the machine, was being activated by a water leak filling up the bottom tray where the float switch lives. The water inlet valve was closed to prevent any more flooding, and green light No 1 shows "no water entering machine".

In some cases, the leak was due to a burst in the short black rubber hose between the main pump and the water trap under the main filter and drain assembly. Need a new hose cured the whole sorry mess. To get at the relevant bits turn machine on its side and remove the bottom tray (six screws, three each side.

Good luck.

My Indesit IDL500 dishwasher cycles through (about

had this problem and apparently there's a 'float switch' in the bottom of the machine. This switch is a safety cut off and when activated can not just stop the machine but trip the electrics in the house. the reason for it activating is when food clogs up the drainage bit water can not drain and fills up the bottom of the machine. this then activates the 'float switch' as a kind of safety cut off.
the way to sort it is to disconnect the machine from the mains and drain and water. empty the clogged up food from the drain bit. then tip the machine back and a load of water will pour out (may need a load of towels for this bit or take the machine out the back and do it)
once this is done, plug it all back in and give it a try

I have an Indesit IDL500

Usually it is a relay on the control board that sends the signal to the heater. The control board will also sense the temperature from the thermostat (usually called thermistor) and turn heater off depending on setting. It could also be the thermistor is open circuit.

Best to first try the dishwasher on the fast cycle where heating of water is not invovled and confirm the dishwasher is operational. If this is ok then one can assume controller is reasonabley functional. The focus could then be the thermistor.

Detergent tablet does not dissolve

If you are putting the tablet into the dispenser and closing the lid the problem is that the lid is not opening as it should. No problem actually, just toss the tab into the floor of the dishwasher. it will work just as well. Joe

Stays on heating cycle

Possible fault or error in the controller unit. it is important to check the sequence of the program and see the reson why the program never advances.
Perhaps some inputs must be checked for the reason the program stays stuck.
Can be the controller or relay of the heater.. check the thermostat.

Firstly check the connection where the dishwasher hose connects to the drain. Remove this washe hose and see there is no stoppage at that piont. If all ok go to the dishwasher and see if there is no stoppage in the sump where the water goes out. If ok then the drain pump in the machine is either blocked or faulty. you will have to access this pump to be able to proceed further. good luck

Some have electrical heating elements that could be tested with a multi meter on the ohm scale. If the meter indicates that the element is open circuit it needs replacing and you should take note of the water seal and mounting of the element.

Ndesit IDL 535 DW, not cycling, water coming from under unt.

The washer is fitted with an anti flood device that detects water leaks and closes water inlet valve and puts washer in pump out mode. The anti flood device is a polystireen float with micro switch at the bottom floor of the washer. Dry the water and find the leak (pipe or pipe clamp) and this should then solve the error.
