20 Most Recent Indesit 24 in. DI67 Free-standing Dishwasher Questions & Answers

My dishwasher Indesit DI67S will not run on the number 1 cycle. It will fill and then when that programme finishes it jumps straight to the drying cycle missing all the rinses out etc. If on the number 2 programme it goes all the way through but then doesn't dry. I've also noticed that the water doesn't seem to be heating up much and certainly isn't drying. Is this the element or something else? Once its reached the drying cycle the light for this just flashes then I have a job to try and reset the machine. It can take endless attempts. Will switching the machine off at the mains solve anything or is it the element?Thankyou

Check incoming water for free flow.

Try tilting your dishwasher forwards. Be warned that water will escape from the front. I have had this problem and paid an engineer to come and tell me this. If your machine is not completely level water collects at the front and does not empty. This then causes the machine not to work. Good Luck

Try pressing the start button in for 5 seconds, doing this cancells the old program and starts a new one.

The probably cause is a component in the dishwasher is leaking current to earth and tripping out an RCD. Common causes are the heater , pump and circulation pump. Also the wiring which goes into the door is prone to damage and rubbing on the metalwork of the door. You really need a multimeter to check components and isolate the offending component. It is possible to unplug individual parts , carefully insulate the wires , and see if it then trips.

Check the carbon brushes are traveling within their housings.

this can either be the dispenser itself or the module which drives it. for a start, split the door and check continuity thro the dispensor coil. can also be caused by the plastic parts distorting. actuate manually and see if door flys open

is it going into the wash or just filling and thats it? if it fills and does nothing straight after it is probably the wash motor is jammed or seized. if the d/w starts to wash then stops it may be the heater is faulty.

either the element is faulty or poss the electrical filter.

Tilt your dishwasher forwards. Be aware that water will come out ouf the bottom. Once this is clear your washer should be Ok.
