Sounds like your shaft seals have gone. This usually takes more labor, special tools, and parts than the unit is worth. Unless it is a family heirloom or something, suggest replace it with a new machine.

The main switch get triped

Give it a few days to dry out then try again, quite often this works. If not, then you'd need to check insulation resistance to earth on components (wash pump, element, drain pump etc)

Water not heating in my dishwasher ls12evo3 hotpoint

First thing to check is the heating element in the bottom of the tub. if there are any areas on it that actually look burned through, as from an electrical short, it will need to be replaced. If nothing is visible, the next step will be to look under the dishwasher for the 2 wires going to the heating element terminals (I'm presuming you have unplugged the dishwasher). Pull them off, and with a multimeter set to ohms, check the reading at the two heater terminals. If it's good, you should have a 12 to 14 ohm reading. If it shows 0 then the element is toast and needs to be replaced. Replacement is an easy and straightforward job, and elements aren't expensive. If the element checks good, then you most likely have an issue on the control board or timer (if a dial type control).

My dishwasher keeps tripping my

Hello shellramsay,
If your circuit breaker continues to trip when you try to operate your dishwasher from the recpetacle that you plug it in to, then buy an extension cord ( appropriately sized ) and try another receptacle that is not on the same breaker. Although notthe best approach, it will work for you. You might have to hire an electrician to upgrade the service or to dedicate a receptacle for the dishwasher only and that would cost considerably more than an extension cord. Look at the dishwasher tag to see what it is rated for in terms of Power and get an extension cord that is as short as necessary and sized for that appliance..
Regards,
Rick
Also: Please contact me if the problem is not with the service but is the dishwasher itself and I may be able to assist in diagnosing that problem ...
