I have the GE 2.0
This is the normal look for common speaker setup but you mentioned there is no hookup on the back for the AC adapter plug in. Is there a USB line if so then you would use a USB port. Most speakers have a power cord plug in on one of the speakers if not and there is a base speaker or 3 speaker setup it would plug into the bass speaker and not the two front speakers. There just has to be a plug for the AC adapter unless it is a USB setup or wireless. Thanks for using FixYa! John
Had a virus and had
On most computers, after you reinstall Windows you then need to install the sound device drivers. If you have a name-brand computer (Dell, HP, etc.), you can find the drivers at the company's website. You just need to find their "service and support" or "downloads and drivers" link (it's normally pretty easy to spot) and click it. Then it's a matter of entering your computer's model number where prompted, picking your operating system, and downloading the driver. Most drivers are packed as an executable program, so you just run it and the installation is automatic.
If your computer is a custom-made or home-built machine, you'll need to get the sound drivers from the motherboard manufacturer's site. (I'm assuming your computer has the sound integrated on the motherboard. That's how almost all consumer models are made.)
You should also look for the video drivers as well. Although Windows can normally work with your computer's video hardware, getting the manufacturer's drivers may give you better performance.
Hope this has helped and that your computer is speaking again soon. Thanks for using Fixya!
I need instructions to add
To test the speakers you can connect them into a portable CD player's headphone jack or on the front of the PC's CD player there should be a headphone jack, just put in an audio CD in the player and test.
I INSTALLED THEM YESTERDAY AND I AM NOT GETTING
Make sure that the small jack is connected to "audio-out" on your computer's sound-card (not "audio-in" and not "microphone-in").
Try connecting the speakers to an iPod - you might not get much volume, but you should get some, if you maximize the speaker-volume.
My speakers are not working. just plugged them in
well a couple things. First, does your speakers require a power source (do you need to plug it into the wall)? If it does, then make sure it's plugged in. Okay, now step two; I'm not sure what you are plugging your speakers too, so I will assume the computer since the picture associated with your post are computer speakers. Make sure the audio plug is going into the GREEN audio port on the back of the computer. If still no sound, check your speaker volume, and your computer volume (lower right speaker icon in your task bar.) If this still doesn't work, I would suggest replacing or exchanging. :D
I dont know how to set it up. I put the green cord
There should be ONE stereo miniplug to be connected to the headphones output of the computer, and one power supply plug to be connected to the AC adapter. These speakers do need a power supply, since they have an internal amplifier.
Trouble code 1P:G8
I had the same issue. The fix for me was taking it apart and spraying the circuit board down with contact cleaner. My guess is that I ran a humidifier in the room and the humidity caused resistance on a resistor changing by the value.
How to route belts on general electric 3-5672a cassette deck
you can follow these steps:
- Open the cassette deck: Carefully open the cassette deck by removing any screws or clips that secure the outer casing. Be cautious not to damage any internal components or delicate parts.
- Observe the existing belt placement: Before removing any belts, take note of their positions and how they are routed around various pulleys, flywheels, or other components. This will serve as a reference for installing the new belts correctly.
- Remove and replace the belts: Gently remove the old belts, keeping track of their lengths and shapes. Measure the size and shape of the old belts or refer to any documentation that may have come with the deck to determine the appropriate replacement belts. Install the new belts one at a time, following the observed routing from step 2.
- Ensure proper tension: Ensure that the newly installed belts have the appropriate tension. They should be tight enough to drive the various mechanisms but not overly tight or loose. Adjust the tension if necessary.
- Test and adjust: After replacing the belts, reassemble the cassette deck and test its functionality. Verify that the belts drive the cassette mechanism smoothly and consistently. Make any necessary adjustments to belt tension or routing if the mechanisms do not operate correctly.
If you encounter any difficulties or are unsure about the belt routing or replacement process, it is advisable to consult a professional technician or reach out to a specialized audio repair service. They will have the expertise and knowledge to handle the specific requirements of your General Electric 3-5672A cassette deck and ensure proper belt routing.
GE COLOR TELEVISION AM/ FM RADIO SPACEMAKER no radio connection.
If you are experiencing issues with your GE Color Television AM/FM Radio Spacemaker where you are not getting any radio signal, it could be caused by a few different issues. Here are a few things you can check:
- Check the antenna connections: Make sure that the antenna connections are tight and that there are no loose or damaged wires.
- Check the antenna: Make sure that the antenna is properly positioned and that it is not damaged.
- Check the tuner: Make sure that the tuner is functioning properly and that it is not damaged.
- Check the audio settings: Make sure that the audio settings are correctly configured.
- Check the audio output: Make sure that the audio output is not muted or turned down.
- Check the power supply: Make sure that the power supply is providing the correct voltage and that it is not damaged.
- Check the signal: Make sure that the signal strength is strong enough to receive radio signal.
If none of these steps resolve the issue, I would recommend contacting GE's customer support for further assistance. They may be able to provide additional troubleshooting steps or may recommend a qualified technician to repair the unit.
