Press the SET button until you cycle through the alarms and the Colons on the time start to flash. use the right and left arrows from the CD buttons to adjust time; After time is set; press the SET button. Setting the time
This info is in the pdf manual (pg 5) posted on the FixYa page for this problem (about middle of the page). I can't paste in the graphic but this is what the page says:
Setting time: (graphic is of the top of the radio with the buttons)
1. Press the SET button, the “ : ” will flash on the display .
2. Press REV (L arrow) or FWD (R arrow) to set the time.
3. AM or PM icon will show beside the time.
Tip: No icon will be flashing if all selectors are set. If you see any icon flashing on the display, press the SET button repeatedly to confirm everything is set correctly.
Setting Time
Unplug all power (battery too) and wait a few
minutes. Plug in power and 12:00 will start
to flash. Press "set" and then release it. Now
press any of the two buttons to the right of
"set". One will increase time the other will
decrease time. Hold the button down and
time changes faster. Do not press any button
when you have obtained the correct time for
at least a minute or so.
Need to set time
These clocks uses the same family of IC's.
There should be a button labeled 'time' or 'time set'.
Push and hold this button, then press a button labeled 'H' or Hour, you should see the hour advance. In some models, if you press the button long enough, the advance rate will become faster. Press the button labeled 'M' or minutes and the same procedure applies.
After that release the 'Time' button
Trouble code 1P:G8
I had the same issue. The fix for me was taking it apart and spraying the circuit board down with contact cleaner. My guess is that I ran a humidifier in the room and the humidity caused resistance on a resistor changing by the value.
How to route belts on general electric 3-5672a cassette deck
you can follow these steps:
- Open the cassette deck: Carefully open the cassette deck by removing any screws or clips that secure the outer casing. Be cautious not to damage any internal components or delicate parts.
- Observe the existing belt placement: Before removing any belts, take note of their positions and how they are routed around various pulleys, flywheels, or other components. This will serve as a reference for installing the new belts correctly.
- Remove and replace the belts: Gently remove the old belts, keeping track of their lengths and shapes. Measure the size and shape of the old belts or refer to any documentation that may have come with the deck to determine the appropriate replacement belts. Install the new belts one at a time, following the observed routing from step 2.
- Ensure proper tension: Ensure that the newly installed belts have the appropriate tension. They should be tight enough to drive the various mechanisms but not overly tight or loose. Adjust the tension if necessary.
- Test and adjust: After replacing the belts, reassemble the cassette deck and test its functionality. Verify that the belts drive the cassette mechanism smoothly and consistently. Make any necessary adjustments to belt tension or routing if the mechanisms do not operate correctly.
If you encounter any difficulties or are unsure about the belt routing or replacement process, it is advisable to consult a professional technician or reach out to a specialized audio repair service. They will have the expertise and knowledge to handle the specific requirements of your General Electric 3-5672A cassette deck and ensure proper belt routing.
