There are no official drivers for your hardware on the Lenovo website. Your hardware might not be supported on Windows 7.
It cannot playback audio sound.
Most likely your soundcard driver is not correctly install you need to reinstall it.
Verify first if there is sound card driver installed.
1. Click on Start then select Run
2. On the Run box type dxdiag then click on OK
3. Just click on Yes on DirectX Diagnostic Tool prompt
4. On DirectX Diagnostic Tool Window click on Sound tab
Note: Please take note of the Device name
1. Click on Start then select Run
2. On the Run box type devmgmt.msc then click on OK
3. In the Device Manager expanc the Sound, game controller
4. uninstall the Sound card named
5. In the Device Manager, righ click on the computer then select on Scan for hardware changes.
Note: If the sound device did not get installed manually download the sound card driver from its manufacturer's website.

one it might be the inverter...any else it is the over heating video chip or a damage on it..it is not commmon depending in the kind of programs you use most of times...because thinkpad aare a heavyduty..............forget all i mentioned....a damage in boot sector, virus problem...more specific...
a conflict in bios or bios video card.. if has an non embeded video card like agp or pci express
swap it and try another, it might help...a damage in memory most memorys run in parity if has two and one has a damage it wont come on then.... i hope this help you...

Not only that the website where it leads you to, also has the drivers for your computer's components. Just make sure you are downloading the driver that is compatible with your computer's operating system (Win98SE, 2000, XP, WinVista, or Win7).

Is the power supply good to??? have you tried booting with a LIVE CD just to make sue it is not a problem with the Operating System??? also check for swollen capacitors (the tops should be FLAT) small aluminium cans around the CPU socket, some times you need to take the big CPU heat sink off to see them... remember to respread the heat sink compound before reinstalling the heat sink...

I'v just formatted my IBM
you will have to download a driver for the sound card. IBM was bought out by Lenovo so you will have to head to www.lenovo.com and search for the model of you computer.
PS2 Mouse , Keyboard.

If there are PS2 connectors be sure you put the keyboard in the keyboard and the mouse in the mouse socket. There should be symbols next to the connectors. USB connectors will identify themselves so they do not care where they are plugged in.
Printers and scanners not using a USB connector will require that you tell the computer what is there. Using an adapter for USB on the old cables does not mean that the hardware will be recognized.
These issues are identical to those on a desk top PC as far as recognition and setup.
Some older laptops may require the BIOS to be set to use different hardware. The BIOS will have a list of options for internal or external hardware. P4 systems should be fully automated to recognize the items.
