How do you know that you do not have wifi in the house? that router is a wifi router, do you have any wireless devices that you can try to connect with before your grand kids come over? Like I said the router you have is a wifi router so when the grand kids come over they will probably be able to connect, they will probably just need the SSID and WPA2 key that can be found on a sticker on the router.

Hey; While the router is turned on, look in the back and locate the reset button. Press and hold for 10 to 15 seconds and then release. The router should reboot and return to factory settings. you can factory reset the router and then it should allow you to create a new password. Hold reset button in back down for 12+ seconds. be advised this will reset all router settings back to factory defaults.

it will be very uncommon for router to have .0.2 address by default. try to access it at 192.168.0.1 or 192.168.0.254
for that exact model the default is 192.168.0.1 as stated in the manual.
