1st make sure the paper guides are set correctly on the trays for legal make sure it's exactly on legal or it put the tray into universal mode. (To clarfiy the guides in the back which allow you to put legal in the tray.)
2nd Go into menu and then to paper menu and adjust/ confirm the settings for tray 1 and 2. Based on your question tray 1 is letter and tray 2 is legal, so make sure both of the tray size and type are set correct.

If the lcd that you put in came from another printer instead of Lexmark, it will say that because the lcd, riser card on rip board and rip board all contain nvram that has to be matched. an lcd from Lexmark will no have any nvram data and the nvram will be copied from the other two sources upon install. The only way to get the lcd out of another machine is to get all of the above parts from the same printer at the same time.

Um I don't know what the other guy is saying since your paper jam has nothing to do with where he is telling to look...

Error 241 subcode 10:
Page was not properly picked from tray 1.

Possible Causes:
Failure to feed possible causes include:
• Edge locking
• Worn or contaminated pick tires
• Overfilling of tray past the fill line.

Action:

Fan media.
Turn media over.
Reduce amount of media loaded in tray 1.
Replace pick tires.*

To replace pick tires:

Integrated tray autocompensator pick roll assembly removal

1. Remove the integrated tray, and look underneath the printer for the autocompensator arm. Pull the arm
down.



2. Press on the end of the tab (A) and pull the pick roll off the arm. Repeat this step for the pick roll on the other side. Next, gently release the autocompensator arm. Discard the used pick rolls.



Installation
1. Remove the new pick rolls from their packaging.
2. Pull the autocompensator arm down. Locate the recessed area on the pick roll, and align it with the tab on the arm. There are two arrows on each pick roll. Make sure the bottom arrow faces you as you align the recessed area with the tab.



3. Push the pick roll onto the arm with the tab aligned. Repeat this step on the other side to install the other pick roll.



4. Gently release the autocompensator arm. Insert, integrated tray.

The pickup rollers automatically drop onto the paper stack when you push the tray in. There is a spring that operates this. If the pickup rollers are dropping down, you can see this from the back if you look at the gap between the tray and body of the printer then your problem is likely that the bevel drive gear that runs the feed rollers has sheared off. This happens quite often. To check this, pull the printer so that the front edge of the printer is just off the edge of a table. Feel under the front left side (facing the printer) and you will feel a small notched shaft, which drives additional trays. If it does not turn when you try to print a test page, then the bevel gear is broken for sure. Visually confirm by opening the left side of the printer, near the front you will see a little mylar square held on by a single screw. Remove this screw and the mylar square and look closely at the white gear behind it. You will likley see some broken teeth. This is a common failure item on these printers and easily obtained and replaced.

if you are gettiing a 201 error without any paper in the printer you will need change the main motor drive if it fails to initialize this is the error that will show up and there is no other way to reset it
