Try uninstalling all of the software and reinstalling a fresh copy and see if it still does it. If so, I would contact the folks at Lexmark.

Power does not work

It may be a defective power cord. You could try it with a similar cord from something else if you have one that you know works. If you can determine it is the cord, you can either return it (if it is new) or purchase a new cord. You don't say whether or not the power ever worked or if the printer is new or old. If it is not the cord, check to see if there is a switch to turn on or off. Those are just a couple of basics to check.

The power went out on my lexmark printer...cannot get it on again, What are my options?

Try another known working power cord. If that doesn't work, it's most likely an internal issue with the printer. There's not much else you can do unless you feel comfortable opening up your printer and testing the power with a voltmeter.

Lexmark x3350 has a red light on inside but cannot find it or connect it to the computer

The light could indicate either a communication problem between one of your cartridges and the printer, a short in one of the cartridges, paper jam or the cartridge carrier has stalled. Please follow the steps below to fix the problem:
  1. Remove the sheets of paper from the feeder. Make sure there are no foreign objects or debris in the feeder.
  2. Open the printer cover and remove both the cartridges.
  3. While the cover is open, ensure there are no paper jams and the cartridge carrier is free from obstructions.
  4. Close the printer cover.
  5. Re-brick your printer. Pull out the power supply, black box where the power cord is plugged in at the back of the printer, and put it back after 30 seconds.
  6. When the printer turns on, reinsert one cartridge first.
  7. Close the printer cover and check the light status.
  8. If light on printer is normal, open the printer cover and reinsert the other cartridge. Check the light status.
  9. Replace whichever cartridge is causing the light to flash with a new cartridge. You can also try to insert a different known working cartridge to determine if the other is faulty.
  10. Load some paper. Try to print a document again to verify that the problem is fixed.

My x3350 will not power up could it be the mains lead/AC adaptor

Please go through the following checklist:
  • Make sure the power cord is plugged in securely and directly to the power outlet. Power surge protectors can draw power away from the printer.
  • Disconnect the power cord from the power outlet and the back of the printer and then reconnect it.
  • If there is access to a voltmeter, test the power supply to ensure that it registering the correct amount of voltage (most Lexmark printers have a 30Volt output).
  • Make sure the correct power supply is connected to the printer.
